Atlas Aurox has lived his entire life in poverty. Orphaned young, he survives by picking up the Crystals left in the Dungeon by true Adventurers. But everything changes when he undergoes the Mantle Trial—a test which could grant him the power to step into the Dungeon as one of the elite instead of their Mundane servant.

Yet power comes with a price. The world of Adventurers is darker, bloodier, and far more treacherous than Atlas ever imagined. Monsters and Gods lurk not only in the depths, but in the ambitions of those who call themselves allies.

Can Atlas carve a place for himself in this ruthless world—or will he be swallowed whole, just another forgotten name among the fallen?

Fun, relatable characters, except for Aelin. A lot of lore and world building. Awesome dungeons.

Awesome dungeon crawler!

Alex does a wonderful job of creating a mix of interpersonal relationships, everyone has a reason for being here, they may not all want to accomplish goals the same way, but they are all moving together. There is plenty of action, but I love the dialog, the time spent with the characters and getting to know them as they get to know each other.

Every charachter has a story

The main character is just somebody that things happen to, or around... but he never actually DOES anything. He doesn't have any clever plans, nor special abilities, not does he solve any problems. Things just happen around him while the secondary characters solve all the problems.

The main character isn't.
