All good romances need friction and this one, with eternal ladies man Holden, provided an entertainingly different angle compared to the previous two age gap romances. Against his normal instincts, Holden can’t stop obsessing over Lenora. I also liked Lenora’s deeper backstory. Because I felt the chemistry, the sex scenes were sexier and the HEA was more heartfelt. It was a buzzkill that every couple, even a random one getting a mere cameo, featured middle-aged men and twenty something women. That got a little too close to creepy in what was otherwise a sexy listen.
