One's a ball of sunshine. The other's a cloudy day. When a missing hockey stick brings them together, it's Icing on the Cake.

Gerard Gunnarson, the charming and outgoing right winger of Berkeley Shore University's hockey team, is used to being in the spotlight. With the mysterious Ice Queen—a blogger documenting his every move—and a legion of adoring fans, Gerard seems to have it all.

Elliot Montgomery, a grumpy and introverted student, prefers spending his days working in the campus library while everyone else is out in the world, having fun. His life is meticulously planned, with no room for sudden change. So, when Gerard skates in with all the finesse of a bull in a china shop, Elliot doesn't know what to do or how to feel.

As Gerard and Elliot's unlikely friendship blossoms into something more, Elliot must confront his own fears and insecurities, while Gerard must come to terms with his sexuality. With the Ice Queen's all-seeing eye fixed on them, will their relationship even stand a scoring chance? Or will the intense scrutiny from their peers threaten to tear them apart?

Icing on the Cake is a campy, spicy, MM, grumpy/sunshine sports romance with a guaranteed HEA. While it is the first book in The Barracudas series, it can be enjoyed as a standalone. For mature listeners. A complete list of content warnings can be found on the author's website.

Loved their story and a beautiful ending. Can’t wait to see who’s story is next.

Elliot and Gerard

Beautiful story of unlikely friends. I'm curious to see if Gerard rescuing Elliot will be weight over their heads. hero complexes are interesting; what happens if these two argue? Will Gerard think Elliot should forever be grateful, or should Elliot still be an individual who doesn't need someone to hover him? Great story, one issue: Chapter 23 sounded like the audio got clipped. hard to tell with the transition what was happening after the party. other than that, pretty streamlined story.

great story

This story of full of just absolutely bizarre writing in both style and content. Super random and sexualized side tangents, most of which feel like the author is like “oh this is a smut book obviously I just just throw smut in places duh”
I think a good third of the entire first chapter is just talking about his penis, and how much people ask him about it and gawk and stare and how all his hockey mates come to him for sex advice? Mind you he is a virgin, it’s just he has a big dick so obviously he must know what he’s doing.
There were tons of “what is even going on? What am I reading?” Moments too and it feels like loads of just filler. So much nothing is happening in so many words.
The characters don’t feel developed, and it’s just a lot of “that would never happen” or “people don’t talk / act like this”
It feels as if the author has yet to get to graduate high school and make it to college, or never went and is just having sexual fantasy as to what happens there.
I hated it, but I’m also just one opinion.

At no fault to the narrators, this story is trash.
