Wonderful listen, heartfelt story!

While being a light reading with a classic rich-older-man-buys-sexual-favours-with-younger-in-financial-troubles-man and then they fall in love against all odds… the story is so sweet, well paced, heartfelt and the characters so well written you can believe you’ve seen them downtown and definitely heard gossip about them.
There’s hardly any chapter without the hottest smut which is way more than your typical MM romance. And then there’s Joel giving voice and spark and soul to each character and sounding the smut in your ears hotter than hell. I mean… I would do anything Mac told me to in a heartbeat as well.
I’ve listened to some of the best author-Joel combos (N. R. Walker’s Spencer Cohen and Cronin’s key and Red Dirt, Vawn Cassidy’s Dead Serious, Lily Morton’s Blue Billings, K.A. Merikan’s Laurent and the Beast, Davidson King’s Snow Falling - this one has two narrators but I am referring to Joel here, Charlie Novak’s Roll for Love and not lastly at all Tal Bauer’s Hush…) and this one is really really good as well.

Wonderful story

I adored this story of Wes and Cormac. Wes has become an escort as a result of his brother's gambling debts. I loved how his friendship with Julian came to be and how he sort of throws all the rules out the window. Cormac is a very rich gentleman from the club that Julian introduces Wes two. The chemistry between Cormac and Wes is off the charts. Even better is the dialogue between them. Lily Morton creates beautiful characters with lots of personality (and snark). This story gripped me from the very beginning and I couldn't put it down! Cormac can seem pretty icy at times, but he shows that he cares in small gestures. Wes couldn't stop talking if he was paid, but he's really intuitive when it comes to Cormac's needs. Joel Leslie is an incredible narrator and his performance was stellar!

Pretty Mess this is the story of Wes and Cormac(Mac). I loved the characters but that's not surprising because Lily Morton is the writer. Wes is the perfect mix of snarkyness and humor. Mac is a grump with a hidden need to be loved. I loved both of them so much. There is just a great story.
If get the audio narration, Joel Leslie does a wonderful job of narrating this series. He makes the change in characters seamlessly. I can't wait to listen to the next book. I would definitely recommend this book.
