On 21 July, 2024, President Joseph R. Biden bowed out of the US presidential campaign and Vice President Kamala Harris stepped in. She had 107 days to mount a campaign, meet American citizens from coast-to-coast, debate, raise money (those fundraising Zooms were epic), and convince voters to elect her on November 5. The morning of the election in the States, I called a colleague and told her how emotional I felt. I couldn’t quite pinpoint if I was overwhelmingly happy that a Black woman was potentially going to call the White House home, or that she got this far. Now, 24 September, 2025, will be just as significant for me, since it’s when I will listen to Harris narrate her political memoir. It will undoubtedly lodge somewhere in my psyche forever. I am proud of Kamala Harris' leadership and for her work in writing this book. I encourage you to read this book. Then pass it on and share it with as many friends and family that you can. Let them read and learn and come to their own conclusions as they find hope and courage to move forward in their lives.

Kamala Harris is as honest and decent as any politician EVER. She still stands as a brilliant, competent and compassionate leader. This book relays her experiences as she struggles to go against such a high probability of loss to a man that has no decency, integrity and will steamroll over anyone getting in the way of his endless need for money and power. Now our country has to try to dig our way out of the deranged mess that the felon is creating.
