…between besties becomes so much more! Eric and Donovan have the most codependent best friend relationship ever. So much so that even their parents are hoping that they will become each other’s HEA, even though Eric is the straight friend who holds his bff’s hand at the farmers market and snuggles on the sofa when they watch movies.

When Eric has an unexpected injury sans medical coverage, Donovan suggests marriage so that he can get Eric covered on his insurance. A quick trip to Vegas and it’s done.

As both Eric and Donovan navigate this new normal they each end up on a path of self awareness and discovery and an awakening to feelings that were always present, yet not realised. There’s a reason Eric has never felt a spark with anyone and has only ever been close to Donovan.

I love the fact that Donovan knits 🧶 when he’s stressed. Hayes and Anthony are still friends, as well as Rylan and Kason Maddox, who continue the hockey 🏒 theme of the book series. The Jilted Exes Club has progressed to sleepovers and attending Rylan’s and Kason’s hockey games.

Malcolm makes a reappearance and it doesn’t end well. He is like the proverbial bad penny that keeps turning up.

The audiobook is excellent. Tim Paige is the absolute best.

I like how the author brings the MCs closer bit by bit, in cute and hot ways. The narrators are great. Sweet found and bio families as well!

Steamy, sweet, slow burn

This is a weird and disappointing sequel to the first book in the series, which was a lot of fun.

Nothing special
