Vince and his co-workers were waiting to catch a plane back from their business trip when aliens turned Earth into the setting for a deadly reality show.

Now, monsters are crawling the tarmac, everyone has superpowers, and the planes, cars, phones, and guns have stopped working.

Vince is more than a thousand miles from his wife and kids, but he's determined to make it home and bring his friends along with him.

A party-based, system-onset LitRPG adventure.

This reminds me of Bean’s story from Orson Scott Card’s “Ender’s Game” series. You get to read the same story timeline from a completely different perspective. Like that one, this is done really well. The world is familiar, but the journey is very different and I loved it. Vince is not my favorite character though. I find it irritating that he thinks he is so much better equipped to handle the apocalypse than his wife is. He really should know her better.

Fabulous side track

It was great to finally get to hear the story from a new perspective. It was fast paced and didn’t waste time re-explaining things that readers would have learned in the first 3 books. I loved it and appreciated the surprise side quest.

Much needed tie-in

I often wondered what was going on with Vince. I can't wait for the next book!

A great addition to the series

It's fun like the rest of the series. Though I'd much rather just have had a continuation of the main plot. Following Vinc's journey just left the overarching story hanging. Kind of a filler book. Though there were some fun easter eggs. Like who Vince was up against in the first challange race. I bet a lot of readers didn't even pick up on that.

Fun but redundant

Honestly, apocalypse parenting is definitely in my top 10 series of LITRPG. This particular book was extremely well paced and had you listening to every word. it's definitely worth the buy/credit!
