"In your dreams, Baby Hall."
Older. Hotter. And way out of my league. Hannah Prescott has been my obsession since the moment she uttered those five simple words.
She thinks she'll deter me by her dismissive attitude, but her words only spur me on. I love a challenge, and since Hannah is my literal dream girl, she's worth putting in a bit of work.
Up until now, everything in my life has come easily: hockey, women, friendships. Then Noah Harrison is traded to our team, and my spot on the first line with my best friends is at risk. Suddenly, Hannah is wearing his jersey, and I realize I've got to act fast or risk losing my shot forever.
Fortunately for me, dreams do come true, because though she only offers me one night, fate has other plans. She may have said she'll never call me Daddy Hall, but the positive pregnancy test in her hand makes that impossible.
With my every dream within reach, I need to find a way to prove to Hannah that she's the one for me and I'm so much more than a playboy.
Narrated in duet style.

Again, I was laughing so much during this book with Daniel trying to prove himself and his little fumbles. Also, the pie scene!?! That was a first for me in a book and is an instant classic.
I know the Bolts series is about to be over, but these are instant classics for me!

I respected how the author handled the immediate response from the MCs after finding out. I really liked that the author chose to have the MFC tell the MMC right away and the MMC was there to support her through it all, including buying pregnancy tests. MMC and MFC have known each other for years via their friend group so even though the MFC thought it was just a one night stand, it was nice to see MCs being responsible and not shying away from the more serious consequences of sex. MFC let's MMC participate in every step of the pregnancy, like appointments, taking the rest, etc. MFC does has redeeming qualities, like sticking up for MMC when others say things to him, she does try to do better at letting him in for the pregnancy.
In other books MFC was so quick to judge people, especially men. She was often wrong about her surface level assessments but never apologized. In this book she had to face her misconceptions. Part of my lower rating is bc she never openly admits her issues, but we do see her growing and challenging her beliefs. The first part of the story the MFC is quick to judge, terrible at communicating, and awful at listening. She was quick to tell the intimate details of her first encounter with the MMC in her anonymous column (not naming MMC), even though she didn't ask in the moment if he was ok. If a female partner cries, it's expected to make sure they aren't in pain, then push through or don't hold it against them. She wasn't kind about the situation. But by the end of the story, she did a 180 and became a MFC that was deserving of love and commitment, a character I wanted to root for. This is one of the rare times a character redeems themselves and I enjoy by the end of the story.

SPICE: 🌶️🌶️🌶️
I know we called him Baby Hall for a while, but shut the front door because DADDY HALL is home and he stole my damn heart. Whew boy, I knew I was going to love Daniel Hall but this man said, “I can be even BETTER than you imagined.” And he was right.
All the stars in the world for this book. It absolutely wrecked me, put me back together and made me a puddle on the floor.
Also Brittanee needs to make this book come with a warning because there is one scene (yes that scene) where you shouldn’t be reading it in public because you won’t be able to contain your cackling.
✨ Hockey Romance
✨ Age Gap (she’s older)
✨ Accidental Pregnancy
✨ Teammate’s Sister
✨ Boy Obsessed
✨ Pierced Hero
Playboy and Hannah might just be my favorite couple yet. The age gap, the he fall first, the accidental pregnancy… every single trope hit so hard in this book. Daniel has been OBSESSED with Hannah for years, and when a one night stand results in an accidental pregnancy… he has no hesitation whatsoever in locking his Dream girl down.
I loved every second of this book, from first word until last, and for someone who isn’t big on the accidental pregnant trope, this was one of the best ones I have ever read.
I will never doubt Brittanee’s ability to make me fall in love with every single thing she writes.
Love them
