I loved it!

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It was different from anything I’ve read before. Can’t go wrong with any Sheridan Anne books though. She never disappoints.

Fun book

Loved the narration and story! Fun read with lots of action. Spicy, bantor is great, and loved the action.

Serial love

I loved this book! It kept my interest and couple times i laughed. Even serial killers find family and love. It was so entertaining!

Pretty good

Not a fan of guys doing "girl voice" and vise versa, especially when there are 2 narrators. Duet just makes more sense.

Solid read, okay narration

This was a solid read, but I don't think the premise fully worked for me. It gave me Butcher & Blackbird vibes (minus Joe Arden, unfortunately 😭) with competing serial killers forced into a deadly competition trying to win a 10 million dollar prize. The problem was that I couldn't quite buy into the logic of it. You're committing to a contest where there's only one winner and a very real chance you'll be eliminated yourself, and I just couldn't make that make sense in my head. Who ran it, what was their motivation? I felt like that needed to be elaborated on a bit more…

I also came close to DNF'ing when some of the spicy scenes started feeling a little cheesy for my taste. I’m honestly not sure if it was the narration or the writing? That said, I pushed through, and I'm glad I did because the ending was satisfying and wrapped things up in a way that worked for me. ❤️🙌

The audio though? It was on sale so not the end of the world, and I like to listen while at work, it was dual narration, and the female narrator pronounced certain words strangely, it was distracting. I think she was Australian doing an American accent?
