Hmm… Mid

Don’t really care for any of the characters. The story is surface level and I am confused on the pacing of events. These ladies sure do let these men slide when they should be groveling. Narration is okay, they both sometimes sound robotic. Jacqi excels at narrating spicy scenes. I am glad this was a free listen, unsure if I will finish the series.

Good Storyline but not her best.

So I’m not sure if it was the narrator or just the way the author wrote it but I couldn’t stand the way Tremell spoke. Besides that, I liked the story. I downloaded the book just because of the author, I love her work and haven’t been let down once. Most of the book was predictable but honestly if it didn’t go the way I thought, I probably wouldn’t have liked it. I hate when men make decisions they know will hurt the person they love. I also didn’t like the way the characters described themselves. I’m all about confidence but dang. The storyline was great and ended with a cliffhanger.

So Im torn.....I enjoyed the storyline and I want to listen to the next one but ....Jacqi F. Lynn...terrible accent is giving Russian vs Dracula. 😒...

Stockholm Syndrome

I enjoyed it enough to listen all the way through but I won’t be following up with any of the sequels. This kidnapping sort of trope just wasn’t my cup of tea.

Great start to a series

Really enjoyed this book. I felt it was a little bit rushed. I love Elle Kayson's writing
