This is a pretty good series. But beware, this author has a vomit fetish. There is always someone vomiting or on the verge of vomiting - it’s pretty gross and is very annoying by the end. I hope she doesn’t carry this into future books.

Why so much vomiting!!

This didn’t quite top Mist and Fury for me, but was overall a great story. Parts of the book felt a little wordy, and the pacing dragged at times, but the payoff was still powerful. One of my favorite moments was Tamlin helping bring Rhys back. It beautifully mirrors Feyre’s resurrection in the first book, but this time it’s about choice, forgiveness, and letting go, rather than obligation or fear. It’s honestly one of the most emotionally mature things Tamlin ever does in the series which makes it unexpectedly sweet. Rhys accepting that gift and forgiving Tamlin felt equally important, showing how far he’s come and reinforcing the series’ themes of growth, accountability, and chosen family. Not my favorite book in the series, but still a solid, satisfying, and emotionally resonant read.

A little slow but last 40% is top tier
