The most epic day of my life got even better when I ran into my brother's best friend and my first crush, Jack Hale.

He's still just as charismatic, charming, and larger than life. Those skills come in handy as a sports agent whose biggest client is the country's most popular football player. When I land a career-changing interview after the big game, our worlds collide in a Vegas bar.

That's when our meet-cute turns into a celebration.

One night.

One perfect night.

Until the next morning when his famous client turns infamous. A scandal to end all scandals explodes into a media nightmare. And since I'm the new darling of sports broadcasting, our worlds collide again… only this time, not in bed.

Jack needs me, and I can't say no to Jack in anything. Who would've thought that would put a target on my back?

Help from old friends and a secret organization might not be enough this time.

In the end, the only way to survive is to save each other.

Even if it means throwing out the playbook.

Jake Hale is one of my favorite characters, and Sean Masters did a fantastic job bringing him to life!

Ever since Levi’s book I have loved Jack. This book just sealed it. Jack is the absolute best. I have never laughed so hard at the banter between Jack and Emma. I still love the Homies….Jack and Emma were perfect for each other. This book just sucks you in from the beginning and holds you to the very end. The voices were absolutely perfect.

I really enjoyed this story. I've been thinking about it a lot. a lot happened in this story. no 3rd act breakup. both narrators did amazing great job, dispite it being dual narration. I really liked these characters.

dual narration, cute story

Loved bringing all the stories together. Jack was amazing and Emma shows that she is definitely Daddy Asa's daughter. Listened in one day. couldn't put it down.

Loved this story

I ABSOLUTELY ADORED the narrators for The Playbook of Emma by Brynne Asher! Sean Masters sounds exactly like I imagined Jack to sound in my head when I read the book earlier, and there's a part where he does the voice for Erika - Emma's younger brother Knox's much older girlfriend, and it is perfection! His voice for Erika is slimy and snake like, and easy to imagine her taking advantage of the young man in question.

The narrator for Emma, Emma Wilder, has a voice that is grown up and sultry and did not at all remind me of a high school Emma at all which is excellent! Also when she read the part of Asa, Emma's father, it didn't sound like she was a woman pretending to be a man, her narration was always very authentic.

This book is one of my favorites by Brynne, kind of a catch between a RomCom and a Romantic Suspense at the same time. I love listening to Crew and the gang give Jack grief about finally being with Emma, and listening to their friend and fellow Homie member Mason give it right back is hilarious!! Grady and Jack going back and forth at each other is about as funny as it can be while listening to Emma scramble to keep "Deep Throat" on the phone is at times suspenseful, and creepy knowing this guy has already kidnapped her out of broad daylight.

The sex is STEAMY given that the two of them apparently have waited since high school to get with each other, never knowing if they'd have that first chance. Thankfully Brynne keeps them out of New Adult territory, both of them are in their mid to late twenties and have secure jobs and are not still in college.

If you enjoy Steamy Romantic Suspense with a Sports Romance Vibe then this is the Audio for you!! I don't know if there will be more of the Homies getting together, but we could always hope for Mason, The Chicken Man's story next!

Jack & Emma are BRINGING The Banter AND The Steam in This Fun New Audible!

I was absolutely immersed in this story! I loved Jack and couldn’t wait for his story! His chemistry with Emma was off the charts. From the minute these two reconnect, the narrators captured the fire and connection between them.
Emma was totally an independent spitfire and I absolutely loved seeing the growth of her character. I loved all the interactions with not just Jack, but all the characters and let’s face it getting all the killers, including Daddy Asa was just the icing on the cake.
I wish I could give this more than five stars, absolutely amazing and the narrators knocked it out of the park

Fantastic!

I’ve been waiting for this one for what seems like forever. The Killers series was amazing but mostly serious. The Next Gen books have been so good and have had a nice thread of humor. I’m hoping this isn’t over! The books are so good!

Sooooooo Gooooood!!!!!!

• Thoughts:
It is not a secret. I absolutely love Brynne Asher! Her books are straight-up perfection! And to me, she does no wrong. Well, my book besties it still holds true! This was an infinity star rating! And a top read for me. But am I surprised? of course not! I knew it would be. The Playbook of Emma was epic! Jack has officially out cockyed Cole Carson. I was cackling the entire book! He was such a great character. Emma was amazing. I loved how she just rolled with Jack and just knew this is Jack. I loved the storyline and how they met up. Ugh, I didn't want this to end. The book had its twist and turns! Really, once I started, I did not want to put it down. I was captivated by the book. It was such a great addition. I highly recommend that everyone read this. It is funny, it keeps you entertained. When I tell you that Jack and Emma are perfect together, it is not a lie. Jack is so full of life and holds his own and also backs up his larger than life personality! Emma is so not shy and timid! She is a badass. She is a great and together =relationship goals!! Do yourself a favor and just get the book! I don't have the words to describe how fun and incredible this one was. Just read it. You won't be sorry
