Bratva Bride

The Bratva Series, Book 1

By: T. J. Maguire

Narrated by: Sean Masters, Alexis Crusher

The Bratva rule Las Vegas. The Cosa Nostra rule New York City. What happens when they merge their families? A new King and Queen of the Mafia are born.

Illayana Volkov and Arturo De Luca have a long road ahead, with enemies around every corner. They'll have to protect and trust in one another to survive. With a brutal betrayal and danger lurking in the shadows, who can they really trust?

Bratva Bride is not a standalone. It is the first book in the interconnected Bratva Series. Although each book centres around a different couple, the overall storyline flows throughout the entire series. This means that some questions may be left unanswered at the end of a book, but will be addressed in the following book. Each couple does receive a HEA.

This dark romance series is not for the faint of heart. Contains mature content. A complete list of content warnings can be found on the author's website.

Critic reviews

“Explosions and gunshots abound, both literally and emotionally . . . Entertaining and swiftly paced with attention-grabbing characters . . . A rollicking tale of rival mafia families uniting through marriage with all the gratuitous action that genre fans expect.” — Kirkus Reviews

Illyannna & Arturo

Love this series & I knew this audio was gna be 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 can’t wait til the rest of the series get their own audio!!!

Very Much Enjoyed!

This was a fantastic story. The sibling interactions from everyone had me cracking up. Narration was excellent. I can't wait to listen to the rest of the series.

Arturo & Illayana

Great book. Very well written & I even laughed out loud a few times. Although I gave 4-stars on Kindle, I gave all 5s here based on the respective criteria listed. But, there are some discrepancies between the audio & written text,, where the Audio version has poor grammar in a few spots and some of the terminology was changed between book & audio.
It in no way detracted from the book/story, it was just a bit irritating. However, the narration itself was fantastic. The accents, the voices sounded age appropriate, and the narration overall did brighten the book experience. I am starting book 2 now.

Strong FMC

Illayana is a tough FMC who can fight and goes head-to-head with her husband, Arturo, in this mafia romance. She is no damsel in distress and outshines Arturo. Although this plot was OTT unrealistic, I enjoyed every action part of it.

I didn’t like the ending

I felt like we didn’t get a true ending. I’m hoping we find out how they handle that whore in the next book. I will edit this review if I get an ending for this couple in the next book but as of now I’m disappointed. I did like it overall but leaving it like that blows my mind. I’ve never seen a stand alone end a book like this.
