Devastatingly beautiful

Be still my heart. This was written beautifully. The narration could not be more perfect and the story itself was stunning. Cannot recommend this enough.

High-romance driven

4.5 STAR: This story is entirely romance-driven, so if you enjoy a romance-plot, high-romance read, this one’s for you. The FMC and MMC share a deep, fated love, willing to fight for each other in this life and the next.

The narrative alternates between past and present. In the present, the FMC is on a heart-wrenching journey to collect the scattered body parts of her lover—separated by a god as punishment for their love. Flashbacks reveal how their connection first began and why it became so powerful. Along the way, gods aid her quest, but she also has a companion who keeps her grounded, warns her of dangers, and provides the knowledge she needs to navigate each challenge.

This is a short listen, and to me, it was just an okay read. Repeat internatal dialog. While it has a unique premise, it’s definitely a book for the romance lovers rather than those seeking an intricate plot. If you’re looking for a simple, standalone romance without committing to a long series, it might be worth a try—but it wasn’t a standout for me.

Amazing!

Fantastic story and amazing narrator! The live story reads like wuthering heights, and the narrator was one of the best I heard. I only wish it was longer, it definitely should have been a series!!!

I Don't love you

I was sure I was not going to like this when I started listening,to my delight I was wrong! This book brought me to tears in so many good ways I need a sequel I need more!

Could not put this book down. This is one of those audio books that must be experienced because the narrator only adds to the story, making it even better. A must listen.

WORTH THE HYPE!

Sellah is on a quest to find body parts of her husband, Kaid, so that a stranger/god could bring him back to life after they were punished for loving each other! Sellah’s was promised to a goddess as a vessel, and she was honored by this until a thief woke her up one night. They became secret friends to forbidden lovers. On the night of their wedding, the goddess and the god of war punished them for breaking a vow that Sellah made a child by dismembering Kaid and scattering his body parts in different, evil places. With the help of a stranger, she goes to find him, piece by piece, until Kaid is whole again. She is aided in her quest, but as she does so, she yearned to be with him again. The way they love each other is EVERYTHING!! Kaid protected her at the cost of his life, and she risked her life to get him back. They loved each other beyond words. This is true romantasy, including a mortal fighting gods and an epic love story. The audiobook is impeccably narrated! I was enthralled from the first chapter and was annoyed when I had to stop listening to go to work. I loved how the author wrote the past/present chapters, which made me feel more empathetic to Sellah and Kaid. I highly recommend Scattered Bones!
