Even better than the first

Love this story, it's paranormal urban fantasy romance at its best, and I can't wait to do book three!

I love these characters. They caused me heart palpitations and a lot of tears but I have hope everyone will make it into book three.

5 stars of pure torture. Strap yourself in because this book didn’t have a lot of light in it. As someone who was super invested in these characters after book 1, the intense tension and chaos of this book had me on edge. The character development, plot, and storyline all progressing to a stressful pinnacle. But I was so locked in I couldn’t look (listen) away. Darien is such a tortured souls but gosh do I love his character!!!! On to book 3!!!!

The plot

I enjoyed the family of characters, although not blood, they were still FAMILY. it is well worth the read.

Darien and Loren 4evr

Darien and Loren go THROUGH it in this book. They grow both independently and within their relationship. It is so beautiful to see their deep, unwavering love for one another amidst such challenges and high pressure. This is THE coolest magic system and immersive world building I have ever read; continually expanding and evolving. The lovable side characters help balance out the more intense action and high stakes plot. Perfect amount of plot to spice, fast-paced and utterly addicting.
