Start of the Ming Kala segment

Another excellent volume. I enjoyed the start of the "forge" run, the prep work, and the first four floors.

We got more World building in the form of viewpoints from several other cultivators from other great factions.

Path of Ascention has been consistent in its pacing, character development, character depth, and i have enjoyed ever book thats come out to date.

this book was the equivalent to reading Pop-up ads.
I can see what he was trying to do, and respect the effort. the book is not written poorly, just... info dumps to an extreme.
the beginning of the book talked about the same subject ( SPOILER: The possibilities and rewards for the different floors.) I can see why it was written that way, but I honestly had such a hard time caring after the first 15 minutes, I just skipped the chapter.
Around the middle of the book, some weird pop up ads kept appearing in the form of random people who kept on getting killed.
i am assuming the author wanted to portray the actual difficulty with the world while the main characters can breeze through... but there were just TOO many of them...
I thoroughly enjoy this series, and this book won't deter me from the rest, but if I ever listen to it again... about half of it is being skipped.

Pacing was overall good, but it suffered at times. The interludes with the alternative perspectives were interesting, but overdone. I am looking forward to the next book and the conclusion of this arc.
