Nieve, still grieving her lost companions, wants to befriend her new team to face these threats together. Not great pacing

First off, the narration was great. The differentiation in the voice of the characters really makes the experience.

When it comes to the story, though, it takes forever to move forward, and when it does, it's in jolts that can feel disjointed. So much of the book is in the heads of the characters that it seems to detract from the story. The book teases very brief parts with Sage that leave you unsatisfied with how the character is incorporated. The characters also come across and inexperienced to an extreme that it is frustrating when they have been built up to be the opposite of that.

I hope this book is the exception to an otherwise well done fantasy collection.

excellent extension of the previous book

I really enjoyed the book, The foreshadowing, character development, and creative use of magic was really neat.

a solid story continues in an amazing world.

The second half is better

This book series is always hard for me to listen to. Only the ending is actually interesting, but the First half is a really struggle . I will say I like that they kept it to mainly one narrator for most of the story. if you support rowe I would buy it. Just be ready to be bored for half of the book.

great except for onething

overall I greatly enjoyed the book. However I feel that certain aspects regarding the characters are pushed to heavily and almost fell forced. Unlike first book where these aspects were brought up but not heavily focused on.
