Rushed and somewhat wasted ending

This series started off awesome and somewhat original plot but for whatever reason the last book in this series rushes to the finish. The beginning we start the story as the MC and the crew try to figure out what the next move is but come to agree they can’t do anything so they start waking up the dungeons that you think they would’ve started doing up till this point. After leaving for their adventure they conveniently find a way forward then half way through the MC finds out he’s suppose to get rid of evil magic. It’s just all the progress they made in the last half of the book I get shadows everything that’s happened so far. When all is said and done, when he completes his destiny he loses the very magic that makes him special in the first place. Everything the MC went through was sacrificed for something you only really find out about half way through the book and it’s something that doesn’t really make a whole lot of sense when you think about the gods in the world or even just someone with enough magic could have done what he did but in the end it just feels like a let down of how awesome the series could have finished.

I love this series! it was so upbeat. nothing that was drawn or nothing. that was tragic. it was good versus evil and good wins

Not my kind of ending

If you like overpowered MC that gives up all their powers in a rush at the very end then this is the series for you.
the last 2 hours of the book are definitely a majorly rushed ordeal.

I don't know how to feel about this conclusion...

We gat a HEA, of sorts, but with some inconsistencies.
For instance:Jack says at one point he saw Locklan use ward spells, but eventually takes that skill from an elf. A few chapters later Jack says his mentor actually taught him but he never really got the chance to try it out.
There were a few of these throughout, like the author couldn't be bothered with taking or checking notes of what was previously written.
I must have missed when Spark turned from a lizard to dragon. But how do the babies come from the parents they did??? Odd!!
The author wrapped everything up in 3 minutes at the end with a quick: Here's what happens over the next few decades. I suppose it could have been worse, but to have half a lifetime of events paced into less than 3 minutes feels like a cop out to me. He could have done an afterward and played that 3 minutes out & given actual details.
Whatever, onto the next...
