Such vivid storytelling! The battle scenes are so thrilling! Looking forward to more audiobooks from this series.

It was a good start to the series. Needed to be longer to feel more complete. felt a bit rushed. hopefully it gets better from here. male narrator was good. female narrator needed works.

Absolutely perfect!

This was so fun and so cool... one of the best sci-fi/alien romance I've ever listened to or read. I've read a lot - I find the creativity of authors designing their own universe is so intriguing. People really do have interesting ideas of the types of beings that may live out there in this great entire universe. This is a beautifully done piece of work. Brilliant job!

The Hero: Baroudei - he is one of the largest in his Sea Sand tribe. He was so excited to see a Lavricka, a creature that was sacred to his people. The Lavricka was a peaceful creature that came to him and led him on a path to see the face of his fated mates in the Lavricka’s pools. They could only see the face of their mate in the pools when they were with a Lavricka. He followed the Lavricka far to the cliffs, then to the pools to see his fate. He was surprised that the face he saw was not one of his species. Though he felt a longing for her.

The heroine: Cece - she woke up in her Toronto apartment after having a strange dream about an inhuman male. She went running, trying to outrun her feelings of loss after the dream. She recently lost her grandmother, the only other person in the world who loved her. Cece was working on her PhD in linguistics and was just trying to get over her grief for her grandmother. She was grabbed off the street during her run, drugged and she woke up with a bunch of other women, and were transported somewhere by some military guys.

The Story: Cece and the other young women with her were kidnapped (specially selected) by their governments and were sent to a merciless desert planet as some sort of top-secret experiment. Some of them were brutalized by the military personnel. They are told if the mission is successful, they will be allowed to go home. They are told they need to study energy resources on an alien planet.

The women were surprised to find out that they were aboard a spaceship and had no say in what was happening to them. This was a pretty good story. The people that were in charge of the women got what was coming to them when they landed on the planet and Cece ended up with Baroudei. Since she was into Linguistics, she was able to communicate with him on a very basic level. The characters were likable and the story was interesting.

This audiobook was done in dual points of view via dual narration. It was narrated by Patrick Zeller and Aleatha George. Patrick Zeller is a good narrator, though his voice sounds a bit older than I like for romance novels. Aleatha George has a youthful, but pleasing voice and is great at showing emotion through her voice. I liked her quite a bit.

Too similar

This book didn’t really offer anything different from other books n the genre. It was a bit boring because of this. Narrators were okay; Patrick sounded a bit frantic during most of his narration.

A Tyrants Love

Refreshingly different and exciting. Aliens and human kind makes for a fun read. Who knew that alien love could be soooo exciting! When CeCe meets an alien that shows her ultimate kinds she knew he was a good man/alien. Enjoy

Good but not breaking any ground

Not bad overall… the female narrator is good but the male narrator, whose voice is otherwise nice, spoke with a pace like a sugar high toddler overacting an infomercial announcer. And as he’s the narrator for the rest of the series, I’ll probably pass.

This was a nice story. Yeah it had the same story line as many other but I really enjoyed it.

Really Loving this Series- loving these Aliens

The writing is exciting and fun, and the narrators do an incredible job of truly bringing the story to life. I read the rant that this story is a knock-off of another alien story. However, I'm afraid I have to disagree. There are countless sci-fi romance stories of women arriving on distant planets with similar storylines before Ruby Dixon (whose writing I love), and there will be many more, still yet to be written by other authors. THE MORE, THE MERRIER!!

Ursa Dax has created an incredible world with many different tribes that have adapted to the areas in which they live. The writing is funny and clever, with interesting stories that, once you start...you will not be able to put down... or turn off. CeCe and Buroudei are adorable...cutest couple ever. You will love them!!

I love this series; I have read all the books out so far and plan to buy all of the Audible versions as well... This series includes crazy great world-building, fantastic character development, and super sexy aliens... yes, Please!! Please keep them coming, Ursa!!

A group of women from earth are taken by the US government (because of their jobs on earth they are selected specifically) even though just students in their respective fields, they are easily replaceable. Instead of using their top skilled employees, these women are dropped into a brutal desert planet.

Our MMC knew his true mate was coming. His peoples spiritual guidance showed Buroudei his mate in the Lavrika Pools 2 weeks before she arrives. This is where our story begins…..

This is a first by this author for me and I really enjoyed the story. I thought it was well written and it held my attention. I did however notice (not major) but just a few things were left in the open. Example being the person out MMC hooked up with before he met the FMC. The story brings her up twice and so I was expecting some kind of interaction between her and our FMC but nothing ever came of her. I still very much enjoyed this and will be starting book 2.

The narrators did an amazing job! I would definitely listen to more stuff they narrate.
