A fantastic audiobook for a fantastic series!

I had read "The Lady and the Orc" a while ago, before I quickly devoured the rest of the books in the Orc Sworn series. In fact, I've even re-read all of the books! I hadn't re-read "Lady" yet, though, perhaps because this introduction to their world can be really tough in its most challenging moments! The story does not shy away from complicated situations, miscommunication, and the confusion that would definitely happen when two people who don't quite understand each others' worlds come together.

I was doing myself as disservice, however, by not re-reading, in that it was wonderful to experience our first glimpses of all the characters again. I really love Jule, our main Lady, and while there will definitely be moments in this story where you want to scream at Grimarr, he is brought to life in the most delicious way by Shane East. The cadence and timbre he chose for Grimarr matched him so well. East's manner of speaking as Astin also struck me as perfect for that character. This recording truly made me appreciate this book more than I already did. I can't wait for other books in the series to be recorded as well.

For those who have not already had the pleasure of reading the Orc Sworn series, I hope you enjoy reading all of the books as much as I did! Finley Fenn has created a whole world and distinct cultures of several clans of orcs, and as you experience more and more of all the orcs you meet in "Lady", you'll love them as much as your favorite characters in any books. Of course her human characters are just as easy to love (or loathe, as you will with some!), and with each book you get a bigger and more complex picture of Orc Mountain and the surrounding regions.

"The Lady and the Orc" is a fantastic read, and even better listen, so make sure you give yourself the gift of several hours of listening to this wonderful story.

Raw, Lust & Emotional

I cried big ugly tears for our heroine. Every, and I mean EVERY male used her to their own gain. Husband, friends, lover heck maybe even the damn horses. But this heroine stood tall with her chin raised and took it with grace. She saved them all in the end. And she didn’t gloat like a male, no she smirked “all in a woman’s day” style.
I highly recommend this book. I was glued to it, and have already pre- ordered the next in the series!!

I really enjoyed the book. I like the story of the Orcs. I'm looking forward to the reminder of the series. The narrator is awesome. The story kept me interested from the beginning to the end. Enjoy😊😁🤗

Wow! Wow! Wow! AMAZING START TO A SERIES.

Shane East was made to narrate this series. He does the best ORC voice ever!!! I seriously cannot wait for the rest of this series to come out in Audio! Finley Fenn already has me added to this new world that she's created.

i love the concept & story

it is a wonder and exciting plot and world, but for me the MCF was very whinny, argumentative,and annoying. im not sure if ita just how she is written or if it was the narrator way of voicing her, but everytime she spoke i wanted to threw my phone in aggravation. hopefully the MCF in book two is better

First Orc romance I’ve listened to…hot

Between the well written characters and Shane East’s voice, this book is a panty melting, bodice ripper. I’ve heard Shane East on other novels, but always paired with a female narrator. His narration on this novel ratchets up the level of seat squirming.

Shane East did it again. Very steamy… loved the narration! Thought it was a good listen.

Wow, finally a narrator who embodies the mythical world of Orcs and humans with eloquence and eroticism. I love the Orc Sworn series, but I hesitated to listen, because I didn't want my internal voices to be ruined by over acting or complete misunderstanding of this world and the incredible storytelling. Well, Shane East is a genius. I hope he reads the rest of this series. I will be listening. fantastic!

over all solid choice

Great story, performance was top notch, sweet moments, spicy, sad and happy. I enjoyed this audible thoroughly, will definitely be checking out the next book.

I loved it. The story was fantastic, the narrator was great, and it had a happy ending! 10 out of 10 recommend!
