Which means money for being in a fake relationship with Dusk.

Sweet Rocker Story

This story is much lighter and sweeter than other books by this author - like the cotton candy that comes up through the story. Both Abe and Dusk are free spirited and young, giving the story a great energy. While there is an instant connection, their relationship is not instalove. Dusk is a bit of an idiot at times, but he's overwhelmingly sweet and endearing. I do wish the story was longer, it seemed only slightly longer than a short story. But it is hot, enjoyable, and fun like cotton candy at the fair. Tyler Kent does a good job narrating. i don't love all of his voices in other books, but he works for this book. Looking forward to the next in this series.

MM Rockstar Fluffy Romance

I was not expecting such a fluff read from K.A. Merikan, as the other books I have read by them, are a lot darker. This was a pleasant experience. Instalust/Instalove for sure and I honestly like how they handled the inevitable breakup. I would have liked more of a reunion after the fact, but it was still wrapped up nicely. Lolly/Abe was such a great character. He really owned who he was and I loved how he shared his talents. Dusk is the lead singer for a rock band and he is immediately taken by Abe. He nicknames him Lolly because he was sucking on a sucker when he first met him. They have a quick and unforgettable tryst at a gas station which sparks the road trip romance to their different gigs and back home. Of course they get more notoriety and then Dusk is outted, which starts their public love affair, which does not go too well; however, it does make sense for them. They do end up making it work so that is great. Really this was pretty fluffy, and I really love all the side characters. I cannot wait to read about Dawn for sure and then see what Sid can get up to. Tyler Kent did this narration and he did a great job. Would definitely recommend this read to anyone looking for this type of book.

Sweet Rockstar Romance

This story was unexpected because it was sweet and not dark, which is not what this duo is known for. It didn't deter me since I love everything these two write! There's a realistic amount of drama with the sweetness. The narrator did a great job narrating. The characters had their own district voice. I can't wait to listen to Just Here for the Pain.

There’s something about rockstars and how dreamy a romance with them can be. Dusk, a lead singer of the band, “The Underdogs” is used to living in the now and going for whatever he wanted. And when he met the pink-haired human equavilant of cotton candy Abe, he gave in to his urges and went for it. If this is a dream full of pink and iridescent unicorns, rainbows and cotton candy, he never wants to wake up from it. Abe aka Lolly never thought a fling with a rockstar will actually land him a decent job. Never thought professionally flirting with a smoking hot rockstar would become his job nonetheless Lolly is happy for the opportunity. However when their emotions turned real, these two men have to confront their insecurities and commitment issues to become the men who deserve each other.

I love femme, sassy men who know what they want and Abe was exactly what I wanted. KA Merikans write alwyws scorching hot sex scenes and these two together were firey red hot and sexy! I’m glad these two men found each other because they really are made for each other. This is such a wonderful and exciting romance with lovely characters and lifelike secondary characters. I want more of the underdogs and their happily ever after.

Great story and fabulous narration

I was given a free audio copy from the author and the GRR arc team for review.

This was a very quick read. The main characters were loveable and had great chemistry. It was sweet, low angst and very steamy. The side characters were all great too and there was great world building. I'm looking forward to reading more books in this series and seeing more from the other band members. It would have been a 5 star read but the ending is rather HFN. I hope there is mention of them in the other books. Overall, this was a wonderful start to this series and I absolutely would recommend it.

The narrator did a great job. He had a pleasant reading voice. He kept a good pace and he was age appropriate. He expressed the emotions well and brought the story to life. He altered the character voices enough that you know who is speaking. It was a very enjoyable listening experience.
