The highly anticipated and breathtaking finale of Air Awakens: Vortex Chronicles by USA Today best-selling author Elise Kova.

One way or another...she will be the end of the world.

With powers that weren't supposed to be touched by mortal hands, Vi Solaris is determined to free herself and the world from the deadly vortex it's trapped in. This mission has taken her to forbidden lands and has transformed her from a sheltered princess to a fearsome warrior.

But the ultimate triumph requires the ultimate sacrifice, forcing Vi to choose between the last tethers to her humanity and the very people she's sworn to protect.

Vi's story of magic, sacrifice, triumph, and love reaches its epic conclusion in Crystal Caged. Air Awakens: Vortex Chronicles should be listened to in order:

  • Vortex Visions
  • Chosen Champion
  • Failed Future

I really struggled to get through this series, but I'm so glad I stuck with it. Overall, this was a pretty original concept, it just didn't keep me on the edge, needing to see what happened next. I think the narrator was some of the problem, as I kept getting distracted, trying to decide whether the narrator was an AI or not, but I was reading it on my own during the first 4 books, so maybe not.

Basically, I didn't feel pulled into the story at the beginning. I think there could have been some editing and fewer books and it would have been better from the beginning rather than 5 books in.

This book is intense! It is the perfect (happy) ending to the Vortex Chronicles series. I laughed, I cried sad and happy tears, and I enjoyed every word! It has been a couple weeks and I am still thinking about this story and how perfect the ending is.

Incredible Ending

I really enjoyed the continuation of this series, the way she weaved in-and-out of the past and threw the books of Air Awakens. I had a lot of those light bulb moments where I thought "oh yes I remember that" and how it connected. It was a really great series. I was also very happy with the way it ended.

Loved this series

I thought the thinking of this story by Elise Kova did a great job she she has an awesome mind I believe that the story was well-thought-out and Sarah Sampino Did a great job with the voices I thought that she was more concerned though with the pronouncing of the words a lot in all 5 books but I thought she did a great job. My own personal opinion I think a narrator should make the story flow better without concentrating so much on the pronunciation of each word but that's my own opinion.

Great books all 5 of them

I like that pretty much everything is explained in this book from little things that happened in past books. and it does have a happy ending if anybody is concerned about that. and I like seeing transformation that Via Solaris has undergone from the first book to the end of the fifth book. I don't want to give anything away for people who haven't read the book. I like that a lot of the wrongs and betrayals that happened to Via Solaris in her life, which is many are all either worth it or is corrected it the end. I totally recommend the series I read one book after another I'm so glad I didn't have to wait for the author to write the next book!

this was my favorite out of the five books
