What if you put your fate in the wrong hands? What if taking it back was your worst option?

A virus devastated the world, and humanity lies in ruin.

Army veteran Thomas Ricard lost everything but his life - and his adopted son, Joseph.

Two years later, Thomas serves the Second Alliance. They bring stability to the region's survivors. They're far from perfect. But chaos was worse.

Thomas wants more for himself. Simply surviving isn't enough.

The opportunity comes when a band of human traffickers encroaches on the Second Alliance's territory. Thomas must lead the strike team to stop them, but the mission's loaded with a huge gamble.

If he succeeds, his family's future is secure. Failure means a swift transfer and losing his son.

Can Thomas win through and protect his family?

Will the Second Alliance even honor the agreement if he does?

This action-packed, post-apocalyptic thriller is the first book in Robert Wilson's Days Since....Almawt Virus series. Look for the second installment of the series: Days Since...Xavier: Day 853.

I was given a free copy of this book. Thomas is given his first mission and can not fail or he will loose his brother. Great story. Loved the voice of the narrator. Can't wait to read/listen to the next book!

Days Since. .
This is an OK read, it's not really fast paced or what I would describe as gripping. . However it is a decent read/listen and maybe the groundwork for the future books. Good enough to want to listen to the next in the series - Yes
The narration is good. 1st narration by Matthew Crow that I've heard and am impressed.
Recommend this audiobook? yes if you like a bit of post apoc.

An enjoyable, fast paced, action packed adventure. The post apocalyptic world presented in this book is extremely likely. Man against man. Good vs evil. Oftentimes who’s good depends on the perspective. Things aren’t always what they seem in this book.

The narration was good. Sometimes the narrator would say something and then the book would say he shouted, but the narrator didn’t shout it. Nothing major but at times I felt it could have added to the story.

Looking forward to the next book. I hope the plot becomes a little more complex as the series continues.

This story sets up a world that could go in several directions but really doesn't take any of those paths yet. The focus seems to be the main character that is well written like a character study of PTSD. The main drag for me is the voice actor who can be very monotone and is just reading to you instead of telling a story.

Works as a start to building an interesting world.
