Very fun, and I want more!!

I rarely listen to paranormal fiction, but this one is a blast. Fast-paced, not angsty, great world building, and AMAZING narration. I'm hearing that this is the first of a series, and I hope that's true. The couple are just great, two wounded souls finding each other and bonding like fated mates. I can't wait to hear them kick more ass and save the world.

Shane East and Lucy Rivers do their usual outstanding job of narrating this novella, getting the emotional nuance just right, the pacing perfect, and phrasing spot on. Slow clap for a job well done!

If you are looking for a shortish listen with plenty of action, romance, sizzle, and imagination this might just be the book you need. Like I said, paranormal is not my jam, but oh my. This is GOOD!

Great narration and plot

This is a short novel introducing a series that I want to get to know better. The narration was fantastic. I always love Lucy Rivers and Shane East has a fantastic voice. The story it self is intriguing, with excellent world-building and character development. Star-crossed lovers? check. Torture by demons? Check. Mysterious backstory? Check. I loved this and can't wait to read more from this author.

Horror and Action

Despite being a novella, the storyline was pretty complete; the book flowed seamlessly. That torture qualifies the book as horror also; made me cringe just listening to it. I love Shane East’s narration; he is one of my absolute favorites. Lucy did a wonderful job as well. Give us more!!!

If this the prequel than dang...

If this is the prequel that I can’t wait for the series! This story is filled with every paranormal being you can think of and then some!
I love the insta love between Stephen and Kryn not to sound Cliché, but they were made for each other.


The story and narration was good the male narrator put some finesse in his voice during the action scenes that brought it to life.
I’m looking forward to the series.

Great Introduction to the Series!

This is a prequel to the upcoming Immortal Protectors Series, and OMG! I can't wait for more about Stefan and Kryn. I love their instant attraction and strong chemistry. The secondary characters are interesting and intriguing. This short story is a great introduction to this new series, and a lot is going on it. The storyline is well written, dark, fast-paced, and captivating. The world building is original and complex. I loved it! So much, that I listened to this audiobook twice in a row. Shane East and Lucy Rivers did an amazing job with the narration. I enjoyed my listening and highly recommend it.
