loved it

I loved this book when I saw that there was a book out with Adams brother I couldn't wait to hear it. I loved that a lot of the original characters were in this book and lived that Ian was there to bring a bit of humor to this story. don't know how many times I had to apologize for laughing out of the blue at work were I get to listen to my audible books on my headphones.
macon,s character was so inspiring with all that he went through and over came, and how ally was strong enough to open herself up and submit. the only thing that I would change about this story is the narrator not that he was bad but I prefer Mr Ryan west.

Entertaining

Luscious, although not a particularly long read was amazing. One of the things I love about Lexi Blake is the diverse characters she creates. I love that in her this spin off series from her Master & Mercenaries series, the men and women of Topped are often returned veterans; men and women who have sustained injuries and are learning to live with them.
Ms. Blake does not shy away from the harsh realities that many returned veterans find themselves faced with. She writes about them with a great deal of dignity, compassion and caring. This is a wonderful example of this, Macon Miles is such a man, badly injured and now living life with a prosthetic leg. disillusioned by those he loved and left by his wife.
Allyson (Ally) Jones is a woman on a mission.
This was an emotional read at times as they both struggled to come to terms with the issues caused by the past.
Each book in the series just seems to get better and better. Perfectly Paired is a beautiful story of triumph over heartache, a growth of a deep and committed love; one that made me laugh and sigh.
Lance Greenfield did a good job narrating the characters in a variety of voices and brought the story to life for me, doing justice to the story that the author created. His voice was easy to listen to and I found myself invested in their performances.

AWESOME!!!

I really enjoyed Luscious: Masters and Mercenaries: Topped, Book 1.

Lexi Blake has the real talent of putting romance, fire and sex + add some action into the mix of her storylines and you're intrigued.

Topped: Book 1, added something else to the mix. The two main characters have secrets that may hurt them both. Will their relationship hold up if the secrets get out?

I still have so many more of Lexi Blake books to listen to before I can say I've caught up to present day. But, so far the books I have listened to by Lexi, have not been a disappointment.

Lance Greenfield is the narrator in "Luscious" and he did a very fine job at it. So, hats off to you Lexi and Lance, I'm on my way to listening to: "Just One Taste," (Masters and Mercenaries: Topped Book 2.)

Pastries and rope play, yes Sir!

Macon and Alli’s story is so relatable to so many people. We’ve all had a relationship that we were less than honest with and scared of the consequences. I received this as an advanced listen and am leaving my review voluntarily. I loved how fiery Alli is and how Macon doesn’t wish to quench that fire but stoke it!! Great story, awesome characters and great narrator!

An amazing military romance

This has a tragic story, but so very real life. It’s based on what so many of our wounded heroes face when they return home. I wouldn’t really consider it a branch off series, since it has all the characters from the main series. It does contain a very happily ever after. Greenfield is a good narrator, but bring back Ryan West.

Great story and performance

I hadn’t heard this narrator before and I really liked him. Took off one star because they use the wrong name about 5-6 times, calling the hero Macon my his brother’s name, Miles. It took me out of the story. Other than that, great Lexi Blake story as usual!

Great read-Narrator not so much

Great book but the narrator was not that good. The previous books by Lexi Blake are great and I wish they had used the same narrator for this one.

Stellar start

Amazing start to this new series. This D/s novel is held in a restaurant instead of a club which gives it a different feel and one I quite enjoyed. This series also takes bits and pieces from style stories and blends it into a creation of beauty and love. Macon is c military with more then just scar on the inside. Ally is a girl trying to get to the truth of things that changed her life and make a new start after losing pretty much everything. It’s a story of struggle and love and it’s just beautiful. The narration was on point and I am ready to dive into book two!

Narrator threw me off

I mean no offense to the narrator but after going from Ryan to this guy it kinda wrecked the story for me he wasn’t terrible but he wasn’t super great.

Forgiveness and a Fresh Start

I love Adam Miles from the OG series, so when this one popped up with his younger brother, Macon, I was intrigued. Macon returned from Afghanistan without part of his leg and the guilt of being the only survivor in his unit after their patrol hit an IED. To make matters worse, his wife left him for his oldest brother which sends him spiralling even more, until Adam finds him and offers him a fresh start. Humbled to reconnect with the brother he didn't defend for his lifestyle choice, Macon follow him to Dallas to work at Sean Taggart's new restaurant, Top.
Our FMC, Allyson/Ally Jones has been trying to find out more about her brother, Ronnie's death, so she follows Macon to Dallas after messages to him go unanswered. She also gets a job at Top with the intent of finding out what truths Macon may be keeping about Ronnie's death. His protective nature over her safety starts to dissolve the preconceived notions she had about Macon, especially as he explains the BDSM lifestyle to her. Soon enough the secret linking the two of them comes to light but with emotional consequences for both of them.
I enjoyed narrator, Lance Greenfield's voice as he relayed the tough, conflicting emotions carried by Macon and Ally individually and as a couple. Forgiveness seemed to come a little too quickly, but I guess with a novella, there's no reason to drag it out. Great to see the "cameos" by some of the OG characters like Ian with one of the infant twins (from the New Recruits sereis) strapped to him!
