Ten years after a pandemic swept the globe, survivors were forced into factions and camps in order to survive...

Jade and Sera are two orphans who have found refuge in a government camp. It is there where Jade falls in love with a young soldier, Anyon. But Anyon has his own secrets, carefully guarding a past that involves Sera. But before Jade and Anyon admit their feelings to each other the camp is attacked and they're separated.

Jade knows to lead Sera to Albany, the last free camp in the east, but the road is dangerous.

Not only must they dodge pockets of infection, but they are threatened by drifters and gangs. When they arrive in Albany, they find it deserted.

Anyon and his friend Malachi are close on their heels, but not close enough. The Provisional Government is on a mission, and no one is quite prepared for what lies ahead...

The robotic sound of this narrator's voice felt like an old GPS I used to have that would pronounce 1/3 of all streets wrong. It took me almost 5 chapters to decide that this really was not a robot and was a person with a stilted manner of speaking. Due to being so distracted listening to the narrator's voice, I absorbed almost nothing of the story. I'm sure the story was better than I was able to enjoy, but I gave up after realizing I could not focus on anything happening past the sound of the voice.

Very awkward narrator. Robotic.

Please buy the book! I bought this audio even though the reviews complained about the narrator and her mispronunciations. I thought "it really couldn't be that bad, could it?" YES!!!! It really is that bad. Not only does the narrator mess up the name Andromeda
[really?? it the title of the book for goodness sake!!] , but other names and words too. Not sure I can ever say Malachi the same way again. She also made everyone sound like they were preteen robots. But the preteen and robotic sound I could have handled. At first I thought the mispronunciations were funny but as the book progressed it just got more irritating.

Narrator sounds robotic and mispronounced words. The story may have been better than a 3 star but the narrator made it difficult to stick with.

she pronounces Malachi like malarkey but drop the "r".

Narrator Meh

Good story. Not too many slow parts, I stayed interested. The narration however was hard to listen to. Her voice was very mechanical and when there were changes in the inflection in her voice it was in the wrong place in the story. I struggled to get to the end. I will be reading the remainder of the series.

Good story

The story was a fascinating dystopian adventure with believable characters. However, the narrator often mispronounces words. instead of "couldn't" She says "coulddin". Instead of "wanted" She says "wannit". Her male voices are also unconvincing and I actually laughed out loud the first time I heard it. The story is 5 stars. The narrator not so much.

Good story. Poor narration.
