Never Cry Wolf

By: Farley Mowat

Narrated by: Adam Sims

More than half a century ago, the naturalist Farley Mowat accepted an assignment to investigate why wolves were killing Arctic caribou. Mowat’s account of the summer he lived in the frozen tundra alone – studying the wolf population and developing a deep affection for these wild creatures (who were no threat to caribou or man) – is today celebrated as a classic of nature writing, at once a tale of remarkable adventure and an indelible record of the myths and magic of wolves. Never Cry Wolf was made into a major motion picture by Walt Disney Productions.

Story line

I enjoyed the story line involving the study of the nature of wolf and their habitat. I will recommend this book on Goodreads and my friends. The reading of Never Cry Wolf by Adam Sims made the story most believable. I gave the 5 star rating due to all of the above reasons.

Nice

I did not like it at first but this book grew on me.
The ending was a bit vague though.

A journey of recognition

I really appreciated this story and it's mindfulness of humankind's ignorance to other occupants of this planet.
I wish more reads like this were mandatory before owning a gun

A classic as relevant today

Sadly, the environmental mismanagement of the Canadian arctic is clearly and poiniently illustrated in the humorous and humanly told story. Farley Mowat is as exacting in his detail as he is humble in his conclusions. A beautiful tale of the irreplaceable wilderness.

Never cry wolf.

After studies so interesting, I am disgusted our government inCanada would allow plane and poison to kill such useful and Nobel creatures. Read this great account and write to gov.ca about your opinion about the last chapter of the useless slaughter of foreign hunters into the article to kill our national treasure in such a way.
