Solomon vs. Lord

By: Paul Levine

Narrated by: Christopher Lane

Victoria Lord follows all the rules. Steve Solomon makes up his own.

Steve Solomon is the sharpest lawyer ever to barely graduate from Key West School of Law. Victoria Lord is fresh from Yale, toiling for an ambitious DA, and soon to be married. And Katrina Barksdale is a sexy former figure skater charged with killing her incredibly wealthy, incredibly kinky husband. With all three tangled in Miami's steamiest trial of the century, the case is sure to make sparks fly, headlines scream—and opposites attract.

Surrounded by crooks, con men, and a cast of colorful characters, Steve Solomon and Vickie Lord must solve the crime before they end up in ruin, in jail—or, worse, in bed.

Critic reviews

“Remarkably fresh and original, with characters you can’t help loving and sparkling dialogue that echoes the Hepburn-Tracy screwball comedies.”

(Chicago Sun-Times)

“Authentic dialogue, rich characterizations, complicated relationships and even pathos bolster Solomon vs. Lord. Unique plot twists and well-placed humor helps, too.”

(Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel)

“A funny, fast-paced legal thriller…Levine keeps things fresh by injecting the story with interesting subplots and a full roster of quirky, lovable characters…the barbed dialogue that flies between them makes for some genuine laugh-out-loud moments.”

(Publishers Weekly)

“Reader Lane tackles all the voices and keeps the action edge of the seat. His multi-voiced reading captures the genius in this with appropriate tone and pace.”

(Kliatt)

“Christopher Lane..did a magnificent job…Levine’s humor combined with Lane’s delivery of it was rip-roaring funny…He was able to give unique life to every character…and there was never any over-dramatization. Lane is a great narrator and I think he was an excellent match for this novel.”

Loved the wit, comedy and colorful characters.
So glad this is a series, I am hooked.

Most entertaining book I have ever read

This is as good or better than anything John Gresham ever wrote and the narration is perfect. Would make a great movie.

A barrel of laughs!

I loved this book. Brilliant dialogue! Christopher Lane nails every dialect including a cockatoo! I haven’t laughed so hard in years!
