Distilled Wisdom and Vision

Brian’s repetition of actionable steps to live our best life with the admonition to do it now and again from moment to moment is inspiring me to actually do it.

Regurgitation of other material, just okay.

Not a bad book and maybe an okay starter book in the space, but if you have read any other self-development, positive psychology, or stoicism you will gain very little from this book. Author does a nice job of compiling tons of little bits and pieces from other books and works, but more or less just skims through each topic without going into great depth. This is part of his strategy he says of making bite size chapters, but can't help but feel like its just a quick regurgitation of others ideas, without adding much value or showing any deeper level of understanding.

Narration was not for me, wasn't terrible, but author just tried to create so much enthusiasm that he sounds like an infomercial throughout the book. Just my 2 cents, if you enjoyed it, great.

Great insights, wrapped in advertising

Nuggets if brilliant wisdom, surrounded by marketing and advertising for Brian’s company. Also not a fan of how Brian speaks / reads; it’s like an arrogant, over-the-top highschool track coach.
