Jay meets a divine creature who chooses him to become a Champion. Someone with a leveling System, stats, skills, access to other dimensions containing dungeons filled with supernatural loot, and magical powers that’ll alter reality as they know it.

Becoming a Champion comes with some issues. Global assassins want Jay and other Champions dead. Monsters are hungering to break out of their dungeons and raze Jay’s world. And Jay’s just one young guy trying to have fun with a Class that gets weirder as he evolves and masters his new gravity powers.

He has a weighed power

I kept laughing the whole book. He was chosen as somethings champion, and now people are after him. Hw has the power to protect himself, and I don't mean his mouth.

great archetypes

Overall this book is pretty good too much teenage angst for me. The author does a good job of keeping the reader engaged in the action, if you're looking for a good world building book I would not recommend this one.

Too much romance, too little action.

In my opinion a weaker LitRPG title as opposed to what I am used to. Sometimes it was fun, but there was just too many romantic parts which felt even more dominant than the actual actions.

Meta-Narrative Slows Pacing

This book has a great concept. The main character is a strong young man who has overcome adversity, and the story is an interesting take on the apocalypse genre. While many books focus on the complete destruction of Earth, this one offers a unique premise where the main character is given a chance to stop the apocalypse from escalating. The system itself is also quite interesting.

However, the narrative style was not for me. The story gets bogged down by "meta" elements, where the main character "writes his own story" inside the book you're listening to. This can get a bit tedious at times.

There is also a significant amount of character building for the side characters, which I imagine is being set up for them to have their own storylines later on. While this is a good choice for the series, it does slow down the pacing of this first book.

Overall, this is a solid book for readers who enjoy a unique twist on the genre and don't mind a slower pace with lots of character-building.

Great book!

I wasn't sure if I would like this book, but I was addicted after the first few chapters... The story is engrossing with very unique characters. I'm very impressed with the Narrator, whom I'd never heard of before finding this series...
