Great Action & Suspense

America Offline is a thrilling post-apocalyptic story with a gripping plot. The severity of a cyberattack with the precise timing and during a relentless winter storm sets off a domino effect of one catastrophe after another. The loss of resources and the magnitude of the attack has a crumbling impact on the fabric of society, thus resulting in a total collapse.

The build-up of intensity is terrific, with a high degree of unpredictability and action. The characters are phenomenally developed, ordinary, and authentic; both their interaction and the dialog are natural. The storyline is engaging, centering around, Nate Bauer, a prepper and his wife Amy, who happens to be pregnant, and their survival as the world they know crumble around them. Despite being a prepper, Nate finds himself challenged, dealing with uncertainty in his plans, and a situation that is going fast out of control.

Gary Tiedemann does an outstanding job with the narration, injecting the emotions and intensity found in the pages, bringing the story to life. The series is intriguing with a different take on this genre, one I highly recommend. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

Story line is senseless

Finished it but story line is not believable. Doubt you can be in a radioactive area for as long as the Main Character is, regardless how many iodine pills you pop, and survive unscathed. And the set up for the bad guys is ridiculous. But then for the survivors to be bussed from a rural town into a main city in the midst of an apocalypse as a survival option is insane. Won’t be getting the next in this series.

Narrator Really Made This Book Fantastic

I must say that I really loved this narrator. He did and excellent job with all the voices and carried the differences ranges of emotion well. The book was really good. I have a weird fascination with post-apocalyptic genre books, and this one was pretty good. People weren’t all crazy and shooting each other every chance they got like in most of these books. It felt very realistic in that manner. Parts of it felt like something I would never come across in my lifetime even if we did have a full grid shutdown, but that didn’t lessen the fun of listening to the book and didn’t even seem all that far fetched.

I enjoyed the book and have already purchased the next book in the series because I really want to know what happens to this little family. I received this book for free from Audiobook Boom at my request.

meh

It's an intriguing concept for a fiction story but this book has all the character and plot development of a straight to Netflix action movie without the action

too much coproach copaganda and less "survivalist"

China attacks the power grid thru Joe Biden memes and this author bootlicks too much copaganda worship. I get tired of the copaganda. they are coward thieves not hero's. I wish people would be something other then a x coproach or an x 'spedial' education forces operator. plus if this author was not trying so hard to boot lick the two characters could have gotten there in a day instead of me spending an entire day listening to churnovyyyh(rushian) and the story plot to every movie for the last 25yrs. I kinda wish I had got another history book...

Good EOTWAWKI Story

I was given this free review copy audio-book at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This review is for the audio copy of America Offline: Zero Day - America Offline, Book 1 by William H. Weber and narrated by Gary Tiedemann. This was a good EOTWAWKI story. Plot was consistent with this genre. For me this was a slightly above average story. I had some issues with some of the technical details but this is a work of fiction. I did like the characters, especially the wolf. The narrator did okay for the story. At the start of every chapter an irritating sound was played. I don’t know what this was for but I found it distracting. I am curious to see what happens in the next book.
