A much-needed book!

I was literally profoundly touched by this book. The content is unique and realistic. Life does not get easy most of the time, and I believe that a majority of us are scared to deal with loneliness at times. This book guided me to get over right through my depression and anxiety while living alone. It taught me to be confident and optimistic even when times are complex, and the heart has to carry so much weight with distancing with the people or the things we love. This book is an excellent gift to all who suffer from anxiety and mental downfalls when dealing with life alone.

Excellent Guidance

Excellent Guidance

Do you wonder why you or someone you care about feels lonely?
I used to feel deep loneliness and a longing for connection. This book tells about the why, the effects, and specific action steps to overcoming loneliness.
For me, loneliness was more about lacking the self acceptance, self love, and self care I needed to feel whole.
As the author notes, this is the place to start; accepting, loving and caring for ourselves. He goes on to suggest many ways, as we build confidence, to connect with others in ways that lift us up and give us a greater sense of strength and belonging.
There is no magic bullet to overcoming loneliness, it takes time and effort. It requires making changes in the things we think and do. It's not always easy. This short book provides the practice tools and support to help you get there if you want to.

A perfect time to tackle loneliness

It never occurred to me that feeling lonely could be linked to a lack of purpose, but as I ponder this concept increasingly, it is beginning to make a lot of sense. This book sheds light on the deep roots behind emotional patterns that create a constant feeling of loneliness. I found it very useful in determining which types of interactions to seek to cultivate meaningful relationships, rather than those that create an emotional Band-Aid to avoid feeling so alone. I had to look inwards and begin to shed layers of learnt social patterns, such as letting go of my need to please others. This book is informative and uplifting, especially in these times of pandemic.

Much Needed!

This audiobook is so helpful! we have all been at our lowest of lows at some in our lives, mine was 2 years ago after my 2nd DWI, I fixed my loneliness with alcohol but it just made it worse, since then I have turned my life around 180 degrees but I wish I would have had this audiobook in my ears at that time. the 19 steps are delivered effectively and efficiently, it is structured to be easy to absorb and follow along with. very impressed with this book and I highly recommend it to anyone feeling down. 10/10 this book will change lives!
