it works

I don't know how but every time I read this i quit successfully. i read it once 4 years ago and I quit effortlessly. no withdrawals. in the past year like a moron I ended up starting again and I tried many times with willpower to quit but I kept slipping up. so I tried the audio book this time. and same great result. I'm on my 4th day without a single withdrawal pang and no desire to smoke. its really as close to magic or hypnotism I've ever experienced. excellent life changing and potentially life saving book

Amazing

I have always thought that quitting smoking was the hardest thing to do. Turns out, it's was one of the easiest things I've ever done. Just a different way to think about it. Smoked at least a pack a day for 21 years, and now I'm a non-smoker. Will forever be grateful that I came across this book!!

crazy what this did to me

If I was starving, homeless, dehydrated and only had $10 - I'd buy a pack of cigarettes. I was a hopeless case but listened to it anyway. Just as I suspected, after the last chapter I lit up again, and then the next, and then the next 5. AND THEN - about a week later the information sunk in and I threw my pack out the window. I am absolutely stunned. I'm not sure it was supposed to have that result on me but it got the job done. I understand everything when I listened and it made sense, it just didn't stop me........until it did - out of the blue it just clicked....THANK YOU FOR THIS BOOK.

This is the real deal!

Would you really believe me if I told you this book made me quit smoking? This book changed my life forever. I had watched a video on the infographics show about what happens after quitting smoking and I hadn't given it much thought until at the end of the video that said if you want to try quitting download this book on audible and it will give you a free credit to do it if you sign up for the free trial. Well I did, and I listened to this book every day in the car for a month and did exactly what the book instructed me too. Not obly have I successfully quit and have become a happy non smoker, but so has my husband. I don't know if I was hypnotized or just ready to quit, but I am telling you as a sceptic, you have nothing to lose by trying this approach.

Bloody hell. This guy just hammers what a bad person you are. Wtf. This is not easy, it’s actually just stripping you if any humanity because you’re a dirty smoker

So helpful I can’t express the amount of gratitude!

I watched my parents smoke all my life, hated it so much. I watched my Grandmother fight against it all her life after her father introduced it to her as a joke when she was 5 years old. I despised it deeply after watching both my Mother and Grandmother lose their lives to cancer far too young in all of our lives. I found myself after not dealing well with a stressful life event, beginning to smoke. With that misconception of “I won’t get hooked, I’ll stop when I’m ready. This isn’t forever.” 6months have past and I woke up this morning feeling anxious and stressed and found myself reaching for my Flume which is similar to a jule but so much worse!
I took a puff and got that head rush, wondering why that happened and how I really need to quit this horrible habit. It hit me, every time I’ve wanted to quit something I’ve needed to understand why I’ve been doing it and why it’s not good for me and how it’s affecting my future. After further thought I remembered this book. The book I watched my Gran and Mother study many times and which they managed to successfully quit smoking several times using, yet still returned to the blasted beast and fed it.
It took their lives. I don’t want to give that beast power over a 3rd generation female in my family! I will not succumb to the same fate. So I found this audio book and spent the entire day listening to it and absorbing all this incredible wisdom and knowledge. It is now evening and I have completed the book and I am no longer an addict. I am ecstatic to enjoy this new journey yet a familiar journey due to once not ever being a nicotine addict before I lit my first cigarette at 15 to experiment but never touched it again until once more at 21 for a few months and then now at 27 for 6 months.
I am officially educated and I have chosen to follow a path of no nicotine. It is NOT worth my health or time or lack of control over my own body. The amount of deception from such a young age blows my mind. Thank you so much Allen Carr and all the other incredible people that keep this incredible material accessible and alive! I am an EMT in CA,USA. Originally a firefighter from South Africa Cape Town, and I would love love LOVE to help spread this incredible material to those who reached that same point I reached this morning. I want to help those who realize they need help. I am so thankful to you all! This is such an incredible book. Please please please read/listen to it from beginning to end with an open mind and follow the instructions. It is not cliche, it is so so truthful and helpful! 🤩

freedom

I was skeptical. very skeptical. I am very glad I listened to this book. I read a few reviews, stating that 2 chapters were missing. They are not. The two chapters that are missing, are not. the chapter title is read. and then moves on. the chapters are on the benefits of smoking... and there are none. so the chapters are so short, they just get a title. Either way, if you want or have tried in the past to quit smoking, don't. Then read or listen to this book. it will help. I am a happy nonsmoker because of it. worth the money or the credit, which ever you choose. it will help you set yourself free from your own devices.

Fantastic! 35 years and have just quit.

If you are serious about quitting. listen to this book until the end . I did , I was informed of this book years ago but was to lazy to read it. 30 years as a smoker/ 5 years vaping . Gave up at the point he said have your last fag. It was so easy that this book should be prescribed on the NHS

Wow, it actually works, So glad I quit.

I was very suspicious as I have tried many ways and followed many other books and videos..
Once it gets your attention you get to open your mind to debate your addiction.
I will definitely recommend it to anyone ready to make one of the biggest steps in their lives.

Definitely recommend

I had recently quit smoking with the use of NRT (Nicotine replacement therapy). This book gave me the knowledge and confidence to quit Nicotine altogether. I am now 40 days smoke free and 20 days without any nicotine at all! Highly recommend!

if you need help giving up smoking

if you want help giving up smoking, this revised version of Allen Carr book is the one. I have given up since using this audible book with ease and don't crave cigarettes at all. the best £7.99 I have ever spent

loved it

so easy to listen to and i finished it in 5 days. i listened while driving to work, then in bed. just had my last EVER spay of Nicotine after 8 years of been on it, smashing on average 6 full sprays a week. this book makes sense and i know that i won't be using Nicotine ever again.

The classic book, but…

The good: Let me start by saying that allen cars the easy way is a powerful and effective way to give up the cigs without stress. So there is so much value to this book and if you want to stop smoking get it. If you goal is simply to change your mindset around smoking and finding it easer to put them down then it does that. However it only works on the intellectual level and of beliefs which are powerful but are only one layer of what goes in to real addiction. So this book is in no way therapy. However it will help to give you a better way of thinking about smoking.



The bad: OK. For all my fellow addicts out there not just smokers..Well first this revised edition goes way over the top with the depiction of actors on film and the vilification of smoking. And it’s impact. Outright states that big tabac is cutting the actors checks for doing so. Which is nonsense. It never mentions any other possible reason for smoke on film other than a evil agenda of big tobacco which is laughable. To anyone that has ever worked in the entertainment or artist industry. It repeats this a lot. And then some more. Circling back in serval chapters going on evangelical rants and naming and shaming actors.
Basically attributing why everyone smokes to media, that creates ‘big monster’ a belief that smoking is ‘cool’ and that you get something out of it. Which is myopic and weak argument I have ever heard. As a creative professionally, and a fan of film as a art form. it is ridiculous to say that all depictions of smoking on film are glamorous or that say period pieces shouldn’t depict smoking actors because people are to impressionable. Utter nonsense and unfortunately this revised issue doubles and triples down on that aspect. Which is to say it is very evangelical and unbalanced in its stance all the way through. For example saying that absolutely ‘no people that have quit wish they were still smokers’. I get the point but that’s just untrue. I personally know loads. A small number overall but let’s not be hyperbolic in our rhetoric. In it’s zeal for convincing you to change your beliefs around smoking it goes to very a evangelical place. It’s positively on a crusade and unfortunately that’s not a realistic view of things as they are. The truth is always more nuanced that that.
.. that said. The method is a good way to change your beliefs when looking at your own addiction to cigarettes. However it is a vastly oversimplified view of addiction as a whole as simply a chemical addiction sustained by ‘the big monster’ ( your belief that smoking is giving you something ) as a recovering addict, and a fan of scientific data this is grossly oversimplified
Boarding on utter rubbish.. Most people that struggle with true addiction have trauma, emotional neglect, a development deficit or abuse in there background. And addiction is the emotional distress disease made manifest. A real addict is still some suffering from addiction even if you take away his drug of choice. And real recovery is a life long road involving love, self compassion,therapy, relapse. And it’s difficult. Not because drugs make it difficult but because addiction is a illness. And this book sadly gives that no credence. Gabor mattes book ‘in the realm of hungry ghosts’ puts all this nonsense under a stop light and shows it for the well meaning but utterly incorrect ignorance that it is.
So if you want to stop smoking give this a go. It can’t hurt but it isn’t a magic cure for addiction if you issues go deeper than having a smoking addiction.

Don't hesitate!

I listened to one one of his books about 8 months ago - Easy way to quit emotional eating. It worked and I quit my energy drink addiction that span over 8 years with no effort at all. I knew it will work with smoking too, hence why I dragged my feet to listen to it and finally quit smoking. I was not ready then but now I find myself wondering how I could have been a happy non smoker 8 months ago.
if you want to quit - look no further. This. Is. It.

Mind blowing 😍

I found this book really interesting and funny...i didn't have time to read so I brought the audio...

I love the idea that you can smoke during this audio until you reach the final cigarette...

Tonight I butt out my last cigarette and feel like I'm already a non smoker... It's only early days but I feel really good...

I would highly recommend this book to everyone even the heavy smoker..

good additions to the previous versions

i have used this book many times. It makes it effortless to quit but does not make you any less susceptible to starting smoking if you ignore the fact that all smokers start as non smokers. The introduction of a new voice and updating some of the slang made it feel fresh to listen to. The reading of the word ahhhh was cringe inducing though haha.

Basically the same book as the original but with a few great new sections that added new ways of thinking about the original message. The method is already perfect so this makes sense.

successful permanent non-smoker

I doubted this book right to the last page I have now been a permanent non-smoker for 4months and I will never have another. I wanted to give up before I hit 50 and i am happy to say 1week before i turned 50years old I kicked a 39year addiction. I have never been so proud of myself and I thank Allen Carrs easy way to Quit smoking has helped me win my fight.

NOT too good to be true!

I just finished and had my last cigarette. I will update this as time goes on. it's insane as you think this is too good to be true, just keep an open mind and listen to the whole book.

UPDATE: 3 days without cigarettes and it was easy. I really can't understate how amazing this feels!!

It’s repetitive but it’s necessary.
