Story
Detective Helen Grace has never seen such destruction. Six fires in 24 hours. Two people dead. Several more injured. It's as if someone wants to burn the city to the ground.... With the whole town on high alert, Helen and her team must sift through the rubble to find the arsonist, someone whose thirst for fire - and control - is reducing entire lives to ashes.

Publisher's Summary
'You have one hour to live.'
Those are the only words on the phone call. Then they hang up. Surely, a prank? A mistake? A wrong number? Anything but the chilling truth. That someone is watching, waiting, working to take your life in one hour.
But why?
The job of finding out falls to DI Helen Grace: a woman with a track record in hunting killers. However, this is one case where the killer seems to always be one step ahead of the police and the victims.
With no motive, no leads, no clues - nothing but pure fear - an hour can last a lifetime....

So many chapters
I love this series, I think this is the first one I have listened to via audio book, so I don't know if it just didn't work or if the story was poor but it really did not grab me. Also, there is something absurd about someone reading out chapter numbers over 130, something I doubt I would have noticed in a book, silly but it began to about me. The accents didn't seem right, and at times I struggled to know which character was speaking, something I haven't experienced with the dozens of other audio books I have listen to. Some of the phrases and sentences just didn't ring true (i am British so it's not an American thing). And some of the words were pronounced oddly, and I know people from Southampton.

Awful annoying voice with poor accents.
The storyline was decent but I didn't care what happened to characters. The narrater was extremely annoying with some terrible accents that completely put me off the people in the story. She tried an Albanian accent that was over the top Russian! Not great.
