not my favorite in series

i liked the other books better. i did like the main characters, but the story took so long to get into and the "undercover" part felt weak. i feel like they could have done more espionage together but they really didn't do much of anything.

Heart wrenching & So Well Written

Difficult subject matter but written really well. It broke my heart and healed it too, I couldn’t stop listening just listened straight through spent all day with no breaks. Kind of want to skip right to Kingston’s book so interested in what’s in his head.

I love this one!

This one really gets to your heart. Love, fear, sorrow, you feel everything. I love the characters together and their strength. A great listen, the male voice is so so good.

HOT RUSSIAN VOICE

Okay this really was the best one outta all of them so far! I loved alexi and aurora !!!! I love listening to this series while working! Also, the Russian accent in this audio was fucking hot!!!!!! I might have a new thing for it now!!!!!

Absolutely loved Aurora & Alexei! Like the others before it, this book was super steamy ❤️

Alexie

This is the fourth book in the Belles & Mobsters series. Alexie is the dark and mysterious assassin of the group. He had a horrific childhood. He was forced to do unspeakable things as a child. He is determined to kill the man behind his trauma. Aurora is a FBI agent that is hunting for the same man. Alexie and Aurora crossed paths when Aurora’s brother was taken by the same man. This is a dark Mafia romance. Some may be triggered. Maeve York and Tor Thom did a fantastic job narrating this book in duet style narration.

Love this couple!

I love that this couple has the different dynamics. The FMC Aurora is a FBI agent and Alexei MMC is the tough Mafia guy. But their insta-attraction and passion is HAF! This story also has some darker / suspenseful elements so check TW.

Couldn’t put it down

Really good story, extra steamy and brings the Billionaires series characters into the mix for the first time.

The most emotional reading!!

For the most part I don’t review any books, mainly because since I am not a writer I don’t believe that it’s my place. In my opinion, the author is probably more critical of their own work than anyone else however this are my thoughts. This has been one of the best books I’ve read. The author takes you to a place that everyone knows it exists but nobody talks about it. It’s from a different perspective than what we normally expect. You experience every emotion possible and amidst it all you laugh. My only wish would have been for the hero to get quadruplets. That would have been the ultimate gift!

Impressively Superb Story, Characters & Listen🎧

This is another amazing novel set in Eva Winners’ equally amazing “Belle & Mobsters” series and I have every book in the series, I would like to the series keeps getting better and better but it would not be fair to the earlier books which deserve just as much praise. I highly recommend enjoying the books in order listed, you get the most of the world building and the overall series arc that way, that said, you could probably get away with enjoying this one on its own, just know that characters from earlier books make appearances and knowing their backstories is not only beneficial but adds more depth. I have been looking forward to Alexei’s story and wow, what a story it is, it was gut-wrenching to hear what he went thru, from his childhood until he could get free from the abuser who held him captive, Ivan Petrov. He was never really free of Ivan, but he teamed up with others who were on the same mission to take down the traffickers and abusers. Ivan has eluded them and the FBI, but he has a plan which includes the FBI, one agent in particular, Aurora Ashford, who may not remember him and when she does, she will definitely hate him. Aurora joined the FBI and has worked in profiling, but she finally gets to work out in the field, on a case that is close to her heart, to track down the depraved man who has been abducting children, and the one responsible for taking her brother when she was a young girl, a memory that haunts her. It did not thrill her to be assigned to work alongside a civilian, not any civilian but a connected one, but her need to capture Ivan is more important. Her undercover assignment starts with a visit to an underground club, and a steamy encounter with Alexei, who is running the show and about to get them into the lion’s den. I loved how everything played out in this book. The writing, the plotting and the world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. These two characters are broken in their own ways and deal with demons from their past, though Alexei’s scars are inside and out. There is never a dull moment in this book and once you start the book, it is hard to put down because you need to know what happens next. This enthralling story has the perfect balance of drama, angst, action, twists and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Eva Winners, thank you for another amazing and mind-blowing story and emotional rollercoaster ride. 

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Maeve York and Tor Thom did an amazing job bringing these characters and did so with a complete understanding of who they were portraying, giving each a voice that fit that character’s persona and were believable in every role they played, accents and all. Their voices and performances complimented each other’s, and they set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the character’s emotions and projected them into their performance, and had you feeling every single one. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another amazing listen.
