Publisher's Summary

London is burning, and the fae are holding the matches.

I am Cassandra Liddell: FBI special agent and bad-ass pixie. After barely surviving my last assignment, I'm on the hunt for answers about my past, when bombs start exploding all over London. Fae terrorists have attacked and thrown the city into chaos.

To make matters worse, my best friend, Scarlett, has been abducted, and her captor is playing a twisted game of Simon Says, sending me riddles paired with impossible tasks. Roan, a seductive fae warrior, is willing to help me...but of course, he has a price. One I’m not sure I’m willing to pay.

Hounded by supernatural pursuers and hunted by the CIA, I'm racing against time to save Scarlett and to stop London from burning to the ground. Rage is simmering under the surface, and when it boils, I'll unleash a fire of my own.

LOVE. Excellently written adventure!!!

This is an excellent series packed full of adventure and mystery. The narrator does a wonderful job with the voices. She is very easy in the ears. Truthfully, my only downside of this book was the deary eyed morning at work the next day because I couldn't stop listening. I cannot wait to start the next one. Well done Crawford, Rivers, and Dolan and thank for providing a wonderful experience for my precious freetime.

Intense, Dark, Funny & Playful

I am really enjoying this series, and I have read many. This is an adult Sci-Fi thriller with great crass humor. This author is skilled at building up tension to just the right moment. The audio version has several mispronunciations which is distracting. Once or twice the transitions between chapters was not as smooth as I prefer both in writing and audio presentation. I will keep reading this series regardless.

Good story, reading wasn't done as well

Many places in the audio book you can hear where they cut in a new track, like the narrator messed up or they added something and cut it in. Also Roans character in book 1 had a Scottish accent, now in book 2 it's English, that was disappointing.
over all the story was good, some phrasing seems to repeat itself with Cassandras Mirror travel and a few other things. The book took a rather strange turn at the end there. Story over all was pretty good.

Good story and narrator but bad editing/producing

Enjoyed this story and the narrator, but there was a chapter missing between 18 and 19 (story jumped and missed something out completely), and there were several patches where the audio was muffled and as if it had been spliced in. Shame because I enjoyed the book but this really distracted from it. I didn’t want to rate any lower because my annoyance is not a reflection of the story or the narrators voice (both of which are good).
