A Classic Well Done

This is a very good version of a classic story. There are other versions of this in Audible. But, be careful. Some of the narration on those versions is terrible! The narrator here - Kevin T. Norris - is quite good. He delivers it the speech clearly and keeps in the style of the time period of when it was originally given. And the message of the story is fantastic!

Stimulating story telling letting.

For those that enjoy a great set of stories letting us all know what we are missing...this is it. The author ties together real life situations into a thread showing how much opertunity we are missing...right in our own back yard. A great inspirational text.

This is deliciously Nutricious mind food !! <3

Practices are many Principles are few. Practices come and go. Principles are always true! ;-) Enjoy a piece of our past preserved in a wonderfully brief return to principles. A journey guided through a lecture and a collection of small stories. Collected and given by a man who truly lived his life generations past. His simply direct insight stored wonderfully in this small short book. For the enjoyment of you and generations to come. I highly recommend this mental voyage.

Greatness is overrated. Wealth is overlooked.

In this short yet powerful text, Russell H. Conwell teaches us how to access success by thinking in simple terms; wealth is everywhere if only we are willing to be of service to our fellow human beings. So often we are taught to think that great inventors come from some distant land. They're not. They're everywhere. They're within us.

Mindset shifter

This is a great book that somewhat reminds me of Napoleon Hill's works. A lot of deep content told through anecdotes.

Great book if it were 1950

But it isnt. Are you a traditionalist? You’ll love it. Others stay away. There’s a diamond.

some good ideas

Ancient so a bit sexist; apparently, women have simple minds but this is exactly the quality of a great inventor - and it turns out women have invented a bunch of things but men took out the patents on so they got the credit. Mmhm.

But. Narrator has a rich, smooth voice, is easy to listen to and the whole thing falls under an hour.

The biggest takeaways are that greatness exists in you and your don't need to chase wealth: As Reverend Ike says "you have so many talents and money making ideas within you" but it's up to you to tap into them and use them to be of service. And as Earl Nightingale also encourages, sit or lie down in silence and be open to Divine guidance and inspiration. Follow those hunches.
You ought to be rich.
You have no right to be poor - I'm not sure he says that in the book; I'm quoting Catherine Ponder in her Dynamic Laws of Prosperity when she quoted this Russell guy, which is why I got this in the first place, on sale for £1.88.

Catherine's lecture in her own voice is the BEST and I listen to it on a loop and have even taken notes. This, I'll only listen to now and then but on the whole, am pleased with purchase
