After being kicked out of Crystalview Academy by Dean Wilburt, Larek and his new friends are forced to journey south where he is to continue his studies in yet another Academy named Copperleaf. Along the way, the Logger-turned-Fusionist expands his knowledge of the world and its people – and the world slowly learns about Larek in return.

Arriving at Copperleaf, the fledgling Fusionist soon learns that his new Academy is just as dangerous as Crystalview, but for altogether different reasons. Despite the danger, Larek also has the opportunity to expand his skill in creating Fusions in ways he had never dreamed of before – and there is no Dean ready to punish him for exercising that skill, either.

Unfortunately, dangerous information about who he is and his place in the world will be revealed to him, further muddying the waters of his academic experience. The shock and confusion this dangerous information produces will challenge Larek to new heights as he works to keep his secrets from those who would use them against him.

This weak-to-strong MC story contains LitRPG elements such as character progression and statistics, as well as a heavy crafting emphasis. No explicit sexual content or harems.

great follow-up

a great follow-up to the series. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Fun story

I quite liked the story. It was fun and enjoyable. I was excited to see the competition at the school, which was a nice difference compared to the scisions (so?) from the last book. Wonder what Laerik will get himself up to in the next book!

really enjoyed the story!

very enjoyable world view and good character development! i like the big guy in the land of the "little people" angle and the story behind the story which puts the MC through various trials and tribulations. I'm through book 3 and into the next so wanted give my thumbs up on this interesting series! Excellent narration, but with a few audio editing errors that aren't too distracting.

the progression of the main character

nothing worth writing about that I dislike it's only small things that I would do differently in certain points in the story.

The way the MC is truly coming into his own is absolutely incredible!!

What an amazing continuation to this series!! The MC is truly figuring out who he truly is and what this new life has in store for him. However, with his trusty best friend by his side and people he truly trust and count on, nothing can stop him from accomplishing his goals......or can it? This book is a whirlwind of different emotions that keeps you wanting for more!! Jumping to start the next in the series!!

Are secrets safe?

Larek has had quite an adventure so far. He has gone to a new school, which seems to be working out better for him. I love the skirmish and how he helped his team. I was not a great fan of how he dealt with the people who kidnapped him, but it was an effective way to go about it. I look forward to reading what happens to Larek in book 3.

Great story progression!

The relaxing and interesting fusion crafting and the continued reveal of the mystery of the MC are what I enjoyed the most.

Above average story

I think the writer is getting better however there are too many situations during the writing that are pure convenience to the storyline. Things that just shouldn’t happen, happen for the benefit of the story and just seem too linear or perfect. I think some of the character development was weak and the whole “second woman isn’t into the main Character bc she is gay” was very cliche. There are some good bones here, but the writer has not given the story the refinement and development needed for this to be a great book.

Having said that, I am intrigued and will be moving onto book 3.

Great twists and turns!

Book 2 continued the great story telling or Larek as he continues to learn about his history and abilities. Another great installment.
