Carl was a regular construction foreman. Not the worst, not the best, and definitely not the thinnest. Even so, he didn't deserve that heart attack! He really didn't deserve being reborn into a dog-eat-dog world as a dragon. To be fair, it’s nice to be at the top of the food chain. Now Carl just needs to learn how magic works, which monsters are safe to eat, and why his hoard is so important to him. Dealing with change is hard enough, but he has enemy dragons incoming, hostile environments, and foes constantly trying to get bragging rights by taking down a dragon.

Excellent series from my new fave author
Torga the minor god of hunger and gravity is at it again. While I admit this one isn’t my favorite entry so far, it really did a good job of setting up the next arc. I love these books, good isekai from western authors is incredibly hard to come by. If you love things like slimes life, or so I’m a spider so what?, you’ll love the misadventures of my favorite snake deity.

Enjoyable continuation
Really enjoyed the continuation in the series. Full of adventure and excitement. Not much in the way of originality but nothing to complain about. Solid 4.5 stars.

Definitely a transitional entry
This book definitely feels like it has middle-child syndrome. There's a clear sense of transition to the next arc of this story, with this book left with the unfortunate role of being a bridge between the first two books and whatever comes next.

Good continuation
The book got a bit confusing in the middle for me. It started to make sense at the ending tho. I just wished they ranked characters more often. Not sure who is stronger then who. Over all it’s a great book and I truly enjoyed it.

Definitely worth the time but not as good.
Torga's story continues and it's definitely interesting but ultimately not as engaging as previous books in the series. Took me nearly 3 times as long to finish it....ultimately because I wasn't as invested. Torga's character has become so OP that there is no real tension. Most of the book he spends killing people and even fights with other gods to get to his wife with no real effort.
