Publisher's summary

Heart rate is steady. Call the nurse, and forget the doctor!

Emergency room nurse Zoe Walker presently doesn't have a desire to allow anyone into her life. But, seeing a cute police officer in trauma could just be the key to opening her heart.

Her job at Silver Bay Medical Hospital keeps her busy more than enough to have the thought of a man cross her mind. Yet, on Halloween, she experiences her first true taste of what love feels like.

Her best friend, Amber, has some naughty bad-boy officer comrades to attend to while Zoe has to patch up their wounded friend. Is she willing to break protocol?

A Nurse Got Me: Zoe has a guaranteed HEA and no cliff-hanger.

short and sweet

A clean no angst crush/lust story with a nurse and an injured policeman. The staff all seem productive and get along cohesively except the lazy mean girl. Seems to accurately portray ER /ICU . Would have liked more storyline. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this story and am giving an honest review. The narrator was good.

Ratings
Overall - 4 stars!
I enjoyed it. This novella was very short but gave the reader an interesting glimpse into medical drama.

Performance - 4 stars!
B.L. Wilson has a pleasant voice and good vocal acting instincts. There was a minor technical repeating of words that threw me off briefly, but the recording was overall clear and an easy listen.

Story - 3.5 stars!
It mainly focused on Zoe and the hero she treated beginning on Halloween night courtesy of a very dangerous fire. She quickly became intrigued by him. His canine companion was there by his side and had a sweet connection to Zoe that I liked. Things became more mutual once he was over the hardest part of his recovery.

Zoe's friend Amber also had a potential lust/future love connection happening with one of the hero's co-workers.

To me, A Nurse Got Me: Zoe was more of a beginning of romance due to its limited length of course. I'd call it a meet-cute / potentially to be continued and developed into a love story short story. I would definitely be curious to see this story further developed into a full length novel.

Final Thought: If you like short stories and a medical setting, then give this one listen for sure.
