great story but there's lots of foul language

great story but this is is definitely one story that i cannot listen to in mixed company. I'm maybe to an ex marine and even he said there was a lot of bad words

Thrilling First in Series

Having finished the most recent FBI K-9 book by Sara Driscoll a friend recommended I try Jodi Burnett. Avenging Adam has everything I look for in Romantic suspense. Jodi has created a believable strong independent female character that grabs your interest from the beginning. While her male hero recognizes and admires her strength, he struggles with his alpha need to protect. Again making him very relatable. The plot twists kept me glued to the story long after the household was sleeping! And I am a sucker for K-9's , especially flopping eared bloodhounds like Baxter! I ha e already added the rest of the series to my wishlist!
Janine Granda performance of this Audible offering is not to be missed. She reads with just the right tempo to add tension where needed. Her voice interpretations of the different characters is just as I would imagine them to be. It was like sitting in the best performance of readers theater!
Overall, this was a great recommendation from a friend; one I am happy to pass along!

Good story….

I deeply regret when a narration diminishes the quality of a good story. Only a few narrators, like Susan Erickson, have the ability to effectively portray both male and female characters. I only use audiobooks to allow for multitasking. I much prefer my own imagination’s interpretation of characters’ voices.

Love the combo: strong female lead, loyal talented dog and mystery.

Unfortunately, due to the story line the dog aspect was not as evident in this book but the respect and admiration and relationship for working dogs was made clear.

it was easy to get through and nice to listen to. kept my attention. good read.

fun story with a happy ending

I liked the characters and especially the dogs. it was a pretty good story but without enough twists and turns. it was a shame the narrator couldn't pronounce 'Belgian Malinois' correctly. I'll most likely listen to another of her books.
