Publisher's Summary
Edwardian romance and history gains a twist of suspense.
Rosemary Gresham has no family beyond the band of former urchins that helped her survive as a girl in the mean streets of London. Grown now, they concentrate on stealing high-value items and have learned how to blend into upper-class society. But when Rosemary must determine whether a certain wealthy gentleman is loyal to Britain or to Germany, she is in for the challenge of a lifetime. How does one steal a family's history, their very name?
Peter Holstein, given his family's German blood, writes his popular series of adventure novels under a pen name. With European politics boiling and his own neighbors suspicious of him, Peter debates whether it might be best to change his name for good. When Rosemary shows up at his door pretending to be a historian and offering to help him trace his family history, his question might be answered.
But as the two work together and Rosemary sees his gracious reaction to his neighbors' scornful attacks, she wonders if her assignment is going down the wrong path. Is it too late to help him prove that he's more than his name?

Wonderful Spy Mystery 🌼
I wasn't sure what to expect with this book but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The characters are so endearing with hints of quirkiness. This is a spy style story that showcases lessons learned surrounding relationships with mystery. This book has a Christian theme that runs throughout but it's definitely not preachy. The narration was spot on.....every character was unique and the accents were perfection.
Definitely will be checking out more in this series.💙

Excellent Christian Fiction
If you could sum up A Name Unknown in three words, what would they be?
This book is Christian fiction, but it isn't boring. It is full of spies and the intrigue of world events leading up to WWI and thieves.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Liz Pearce is a really good narrator, and I was so excited to learn she'd done this one. I hope she does the rest of the series!

White Wins in my Audio World
This story is a story within a story! It's "positively delightful" how White wraps up a London Librarian in disguise to spy on a man who, presents as a German loyalist, actually is a true live it Christian. Intrigue, hilarious scene after hilarious scene..kept me up all night, fighting to keep from "snorting in laughter as no lady would do"..This Book is honestly worth 3 credits- 1 for ea story in it, 1 for ea hilarious scene where ms. librarian boxes the ears of men in scenes who def deserve it, 1 for the "Said Dangerous, Bad Guy Bloke" who actually admires said librarian whose working for him..or so he thinks. A bonus credit for all the hilarious scenes..Bravo! Excellently written, Excellently narrated! My #2 favorite of 5yrs of Audible.

Great narration and a wonderful story
I loved this book, so much so, I preordered the second book in the series as soon as I finished this one. This is a lovely, inspirational story of faith, love, and forgiveness. Not only forgiving others, but also being able to forgive yourself, and accept a greater future than what you feel you deserve. I loved the heroine and the hero of the story. The chemistry between them was a perfect balance of humor and love. I laughed out loud several times when listening to their interactions with each other. Even though it is a long story, I never felt as if it draged, or that I wanted to skip through any of it. The supporting characters are funny, and add real life depth to the main characters and their struggles. This book immediately became one of my favorites, and I've listened to it several times already. I really liked the narrator's take on the story. I feel she gave the right mix of emotions in her voice and added humor where humor was needed. I don't normally give a review on narrators, but so often i find they can make a book sound dry and flat. This narrator, however, did a great job, and I'd like to hear her in other books. I highly recommend this book to anyone.
