Good thoughts as well as creepy thoughts. Sweet emotions as well as memories of murder.

Yep, I help a detective investigate a murder. And not a bad-looking detective, I should add.

Living in an ancient city and running an old inn, I’m constantly touching things filled with memories.

And some of them could kill me.

Great Author!

Loved this one. I had already read the book but Audio just seems to make it come alive. Ward Parker is one of my favorite Authors. This series and his other series that takes place in Florida (sorry no spoilers here) are wonderful and very imaginative. Highly recommend!

Just okay

Interesting storyline. A little different but the main character was very annoying. Did a lot of stupid things. Definitely not someone I’d like in my life.

Entertaining

This is the first book by this author that I have read or listened to. I was offered an audio copy by the narrator. I am not required to positively review the book nor the narration. These are my own opinions.

At first, I felt I was being talked down to but that is not on the narrator.

Our protagonist is Darla, and she is a psychometrist. A psychometrist defined in this book is a person that can read other people's memories by touching objects they have touched. This can be beneficial unless you haven’t learned to manage it. A side effect can be death if you relive the death of another.

I laughed out loud often while listening to this story. I found it entertaining and am looking forward to the next episode.

I'm not a Floridian, but I do really geek history, and this book has lots of it!
Magic runs in her family so she's accustomed to it, but she suddenly discovers a talent for psychometry, her mother's new talents, her daughter's lack of direction since college, AND the dead body of her dear friend. AND a historic coin with some really bad effects. And THAT"S just the beginning! Lots of humor, several centuries of Floridian historical tidbits, a skeptical (but hot) police detective, and lots of characters who are memorable and delightful. Loved it!
Madeline Mrozek has the monumental task of narrating this great story, giving life to the cast of many, and managing to keep from laughing out loud!

Listen to this one!

I really enjoyed the e-book and the auditable one as well. Both are the same, but when you listen to it becomes alive in the story in a really way.
I always advise to read books in order, this is the 1st in new series.
Read his first books Freaky Florida, about a home health Nurse Missy, who will show up in the Magic Guild to help her cousin.
