Great story

I was drawn in from the beginning. The characters were nicely developed. I found myself laughing out loud. I’m going to get the next book I enjoyed it that much.

Wonderful story

I found myself getting lost into the story and didn't want to stop to go to bed. Loved the characters and their interactions. I already have the next book downloaded and ready to go. I can always count on Brenda to deliver a great book.

Fun Read/Listen

I enjoyed the story and the characters. Although I liked the voice of the narrator, it was difficult to separate the characters as the voices were very similar or the same.

Another winner

Brenda Trim has crafted another winner with this first in a new series. The characters are well developed and soon seem more like friends than simply characters.
Naomi Rose-Mock gave a stellar performance as she breathed life into the storyline and gave distinct voices to each character.
I highly recommend this book/audiobook to cozy paranormal fans.

Loved it !! this story. the narrator is so fantastic it's like your really there!!

Good story...not too sold on the narrator

I enjoyed this story but I think it would have been better if I read it versus the audio version. The narrator isn't bad, its just that she lacked the proper inflections needed to set the tone for certain scenes. Major scenes were read as if they were casual conversations. She would have a light tone over something that was serious. It made me kind of confused in certain parts of the story because I realized that what was happening was way more "serious" than it sounded. Also, I am pretty sure I could hear her cat purring in the background a few times? It wasn't super noticeable or distracting from the story but you could definitely hear things going on in her background.

The story itself is pretty good. Kind of fun, actually. I would be interested in finishing the series once its available. Though I may opt for the physical book versus listening again unless the narrator does a better job. Its just like, everything was read dismissively when something plot-altering was happening. Maybe it was just me.
