Story could have been tighter

Too much rambling and repetitions. It was good in spots and bad in others. Needed more

kept my interest, enjoyed the reader, great story. would recommend this story, head to read book 2!

Great storyline

This novel keeps you on the edge of your seat. Keeps you engrossed in the plot and attached to the characters and the storyline.
Great narration as well.

Decent story, terrible narrator

Was a decent story of finding a killer but the narrator completely ruined it. Was hard to listen to. The tone and cadence was awful. Do not recommend.

It could’ve been better.

Sometimes a mediocre book can be made better by the reader. In this case, it wasn’t so, in fact, the reader should take up a different profession.

A good but not great book

I enjoyed the general story line, as well as the characters of Jo and Ford. The only reason I don't give this 5 stars is the over-use of the word "smirk." A few times throughout the duration of the story would have been fine, but the characters were "smirking" at each other so often that it was irritating, in my opinion. This was the first time to read a book by this author, and I'm not sure whether I will read another.

Narration is poor

I liked the story of this book but the narration made me want to stop listening early in the book.

Story contains every bit of cliched dialogue from the average run of the mill murder mystery. The narration was wooden with little to no emotion as though it was computer generated.

The characters are dull and formulaic. The main character is an FBI agent who had a heart transplant. Not a realistic scenario. The whole story is like that. I won’t listen to anymore in this series.

Loads of cliches

Was disappointed. Story could have been better but it was so full of cliches and very predictable.
