Born in England and raised in India by her father after her mother's untimely death, Asyra has been ostracized from her small village most of her life. News of her impending marriage arranged by her grandmother back in England only serves to confuse her further about who she is and where she fits in. When Madras is attacked by the French before Asyra's ship sails, she must pretend to be the wife of her grandmother's agent, who happens to be the elder brother of her intended. Can she move beyond prejudice to find her place in the world?

sweet short story.
I found this novella in the historical romances and was not expecting the Christian influence. Since this is so far from anything I would have purposely purchased I found it a little.... disconcerting. yet it did not influence my enjoyment of the story at all.
I loved the characters of Asiri and Braydon (I listened rather then read this book so my spellings could be all wrong.) and found them easy to get to know. Short, sweet, all tied up...
NARRATOR : Excellent!
CREDITWORTHY? : Absolutely not... it costs less then a credit! So buy it!
HEAT FACTOR: non existent! ice cold!

A Sweet Romance
Would you listen to A Heart's Home again? Why?
Yes I could listen to this again. I listen to audio books as I work around the house. I use two blue tooth speakers one I can carry around and another that is a tall speaker. They both help me to hear my audiobooks easily. So yes I would listen to this book again. I'd also like to add that this book has 27 reviews on Amazon and most of the time those reviews transfer to the audio book. I'm not sure why they didn't this time.
What other book might you compare A Heart's Home to and why?
I don't read a lot of historical books these days, so I can't compare it to anything. But it is a sweet romance and it seemed to suit the time period well.
Which scene was your favorite?
SPOILER ALERT!!I think in all books one of my favorite spots is when the characters realize they are falling in love. I really loved when Braddock realized that he was in love with the woman that was supposed to marry his brother.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
The book was very entertaining and i would easily listen to another novel by Laura Marshall.
Any additional comments?
I'd just like to say that the reader also did a very good job. She made the characters believable and I would also listen to other novels narrated by her.
