Just a few short weeks into her yearlong nurse training assignment at the Blessing Hospital, Miriam Antonio is called home to Chicago, where her mother is gravely ill. With siblings to care for, Miriam pleads to be allowed to finish her training in Chicago. Her nursing supervisor grants her a brief reprieve but extracts a promise that Miriam will soon return to Blessing and fulfill her commitment. I laughed, and I cried. This was one of the most wonderful books you’ll love it.

I love this series

It is so wonderful having books that are so inspiring. With everything going on in the world it helps us to remember God truly is in control.

I love the children and especially Inga and her curiosity. The stories have inspired me to want to overcome some of the challenges I have and trust in God.

The narrator did a good job with all the different characters and their languages. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

Great writer and reader

I have read this series and other books by this author and she never disappoints. She's a great story teller and weaves history in to each tale. The reader is great. Don't know how she does it, but I never have to wonder which character is speaking because each voice is unique. Looking forward to the next book.

Whew!

So glad there were no heart wrenching tragedies, just a few sad, sobering moments and many heart warming ones!

A BREATH OF FRESH AIR

What a breath of fresh air to read a clean book with strong faith values and strong characters that focus on goodness rather than evil. Clean romance with the problems of everyday life having more than everyday solutions. You feel like the book is describing a place, a town and a lifestyle you would want to be a part of and could dream about.
