Absolutely delightful!

In A Grave Gift, Christy Carlyle delivers a captivating start to the Electra Poole Mysteries. As my first introduction to this series, I was immediately hooked! The story is exceptionally well-written, balancing a tight, engaging plot with deep character development.

What stood out most was the dynamic between the two leads. Both Electra and Gideon have distinct, strong personalities, yet Carlyle strikes a perfect balance—Electra is independent and capable without ever feeling overbearing. I truly loved the author's portrayal of Electra Poole; she is a fascinating protagonist whose strength and "gift" make her feel entirely unique to the genre. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

This is book 1 of the Electra Poole mystery series! A new series that is a spin off of one of my previous favorite Regency period murder mystery series by the same author. Love the details in the plot and the complexity of the characters. Can't wait to begin book 2. 😍
