From Gillian Anderson, acclaimed actress and X-Files star, and New York Times bestselling coauthor Jeff Rovin comes the second book in the thrilling paranormal EarthEnd Saga that Flavorwire called “the dream of nerds everywhere.”

After uncovering a mystical link to the ancient civilization of Galderkhaan, child psychologist Caitlin O’Hara is left with strange new powers. Suddenly she can heal her young patients with her mind and see things from other places and other times. But as she learns more about her powers, she also realizes that someone is watching her, perhaps hunting her—and using her son to do it.

Meanwhile Mikel Jasso, a field agent for a mysterious research organization, is hunting Galderkhaani artifacts in Antarctica. After falling down a crevasse, he discovers that the entire city has been preserved under ice and that the mysterious stone artifacts he’s been collecting are not as primitive as he thought. The stone artifacts are, in fact, advanced computers, keeping the memories, and maybe even the souls of the Galderkhaani people alive. And something has activated them in the present. As Mikel and Caitlin work to uncover the mysteries of the Galderkhaani, they realize that the person hunting Caitlin and the thing that has activated the stones may be one and the same.

“Fans of Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child will find a lot to like” (Publishers Weekly) in the Earthend Saga, and this latest adventure is sure to leave you gasping for breath as Caitlin races against time to save what’s dearest to her heart.

This story goes deep!

Complicated yet simple enough to tie the history of events together nicely! Highly recommend the series!

It keeps getting better!

After I read the first book in the series I couldn’t wait to start this one. The story is complex and suspenseful with great characters. Now I can’t wait to start the third book in the series. I love Gillian Anderson as the narrator. She brings great emotion and sincerity to her readings.

Loved it!

I have always turned my nose up at audiobooks and ebooks when they first came out. I love the comfort of a book and flipping the pages. I go through phases where I read a lot or not at all. I preordered this book and got a few chapters in and couldn't get into it. I put it aside for a while and wanted to try it again. I think her first book was the best so far in the trilogy.

I got the audiobook it hopes to get more into this story and hearing it in Gillian's voice makes it a different experience and made me really like the idea of audiobooks now.

So enjoyed listening to Gillian Anderson as narrator. I will read this book again and continue to read the complete series.

Enjoyed

The story was... ok... but really the mystery aspect seen in the first novel was gone, and basically you just have to wait for the story to unfold without much to keep you interested. It's not bad, but it ends abruptly (I know, it's a trilogy, but as a book I didn't really feel an ending).

Also, the narration was not very good - Gillian Anderson sounded like she was getting over a cold, which distracted at times and seemed to restrain her from expressing the energy of the story at other times.

I was hoping for more from the story for sure, but it's ok for passing the time.

Decent story, not great

I had to read all 3: boom, boom, boom. If one could be said of an audiobook, 'I couldn't put it down!' One could say it of these books.

So Glad I Read It After All 3 Written!

Gillian's pacing and vocalizations create a moving script that comes alive visually. I could not put it down. The final saga cannot come soon enough.

Captivating! Had to get to end.
