The narration is the worst. :(

I have been waiting for this book for months now. I was so excited to hear another story from a beloved series. Until the narrator ruined. It was over exaggerated to a embarrassing degree and especially during the intimate scenes it was absolutely laughable. Amazing book, but I would recommend recording it with one of the previous narrators if you want it to be successful. This one can’t even compare to the last 4 books as far as narration.

Good god the narrator sucks

Love the story; HATE the narrator. Everything is over done, the accents are terrible, character voices are all the same. Do yourself a favor and read the print version.

Amazing story, but...

the narrator ruined the experience most of the time. Please do not use her for any future books.

Overall, everyone sounded alike and had a whispery, grovely, slow voice. Even when it didn’t make sense. Azriel’s voice was the worst. Every time she did his voice it took me out of the story.

Read it- don’t listen the narrator is terrible

First- I love this series. I loved the first three books, and I was disappointed when the switched narrators for the last two, but she must have done her research because she still kept the personalities alive.

This narrator, however, is just terrible. At times all the characters sounded the same. She over performs the hot and heavy scenes, and Nesta’s reactions to every situation. She completely ruins the voice that was given to every character in this series. She turned azriel into a heavy breathing old man, and even though Cassian still retains his wonderful, fun personality through the writing, she ruined him. Seriously, don’t get me started on feyrah or Rhys. She made our heroes just pathetic. Did she even listen to or read the previous books? Sorry! Rant over. I’m just soooo disappointed after waiting so long. I had to stop listening and just read it on the kindle. This Narrator ruined this book. Highly recommend this performance being scrapped and going back to one of the first two narrators. I’ll be returning the audible version ASAP.

Amazing Addition To The ACOTAR Series!

Well, SJM went and did the impossible...she succeeded in making me like Nesta Archeron!

What a fabulous redemption novel full of finding one’s physical, mental, and emotional strength after suffering horrible trauma.

I especially enjoyed the found family aspect with new wonderful characters, the hunt for the trove objects, and the honesty of truly working through self loathing and low self-esteem. All the feels were felt and many times I was reduced to tears which is a rare thing for me.

Of course, the fabulous love story and sexy times were well appreciated, too. This was the book that I was hoping Crescent City would have been. You have redeemed yourself SJM.

All of this powerfully emotional and exciting story, mixed with a phenomenal performance by Stina Nielsen, make this an incredible addition to the ACOTAR Series and one of my favorite SJM books in years! Highly Recommend!

Prepare yourself for the narration

You thought it was hard dealing with the change of narrator last time? Well that was nothing compared to this one. The is the most dramatized, overreacted narration possible. Like listening to your 80 year old grandmother tell a sorry of the hood old days. I LOVE this series, this narration was just awful.

the best one yet!

Entire series has been good but this book is outstanding. Narration was incredible! I was nervous at first because I had read some unfavorable reviews about the narration but my doubts were quickly laid to rest. In fact, days after finishing the book, I started listening to it again (I didn't do that with the others).

This book is definitely adult with plenty of very steamy scenes. Highly recommend!

And the next isn't out yet...

True to fashion, SJM has given us a fantastic story that tugs on every single damn heart string in the last 10th of the story. I need the next book!

Sensational!

Another winner in the ACOTAR series!! I loved this one just as much as all the others. Nesta and Cassien have a great story! Enjoy!

Slow burn

This book even with its slow start pulls you in and your crying & laughing by the end! So good!!
